Wrong thread, but I guess that we don't have a thread to compliment Republicans (or Democrats for that matter).

The article says that he sympathizes with them and that he agrees that the system is broken. He talks about persuading the super-rich to give their money instead of taxing them, but that rarely works. Some, like himself, will give lots of money away to good causes. And most will get filthy rich, keeping virtually every cent.

    .
    I started one months ago.

I think the second or third post was by Paul, explaining how it was all nazi douchebaggery anyway and that anyone who expressed respect for anything a single Republican did was an idiot. All in my hazy recollection.

We struggled against apartheid in South Africa, supported by people the world over, because black people were being blamed and made to suffer for something we could do nothing about; our very skins. It is the same with sexual orientation. It is a given.

Yeah, that was my point, this guy is a Republican in name only, by the current GOP standards.
He is by no means the norm.

I'm not lying. I posted the same thing months ago on here when Reid did the same thing on a different issue. I didn't know then, but I did this time.

It only proves that the absolutes people spew about Republicans are bull-shit, just like absolutes always are when talking about a group.

Aside from Paul, I don't think anyone has been making absolute statements about Republicans. However, I'll go ahead and say that when all of them in Congress continue to vote unanimously to keep anything from happening, it's making it easier to say that about our elected national Republican officials.

In somewhat related news, my former favorite Republican in Florida who went independent last year, recently changed her affiliation to Democrat because the Florida Legislature passed a law making it very difficult for independent candidates to run for office (apparently in reaction to Crist's run).

There is a great quote by Willy Brandt that should be used to shame people like that:
    "Let's dare more democracy."

I notice when Republicans act like compassionate, caring individuals.
The problem is that they don't do it very often.

Rush Limbaugh comes out in support of the murderers and rapists of the Lord's Resistance Army

Lord's Resistance Army are Christians. They are fighting the Muslims in Sudan. And Obama has sent troops, United States troops to remove them from the battlefield, which means kill them. That's what the lingo means, "to help regional forces remove from the battlefield," meaning capture or kill.

So that's a new war, a hundred troops to wipe out Christians in Sudan, Uganda, and -- (interruption) no, I'm not kidding. Jacob Tapper just reported it. Now, are we gonna help the Egyptians wipe out the Christians? Wouldn't you say that we are? I mean the Coptic Christians are being wiped out, ...

Anyone think a single Republican candidate won't be groveling in front of him begging for his endorsement?

Nice of Rush to reveal his support of terrorism.

Mitt Romney has appointed as his principal foreign policy advisor walid Phares.

Phares is a former officer in the Lebanese Forces militia which took part in the massacre of Palestinian civilians in the Shatila Refuegee Camp and which had as its slogan: “Kill a Palestinian and you Shall Enter Paradise.”

I will agree on that, just like the left wing of the Democratic party gets noticed when the discover ideas like Private Property.
