Because that's exactly what this political scene needs, on top of the rest of the chaos. A holy war. Way to go, dumbass.
As this is part of the Republican primary mudslinging, we've been talking about it in the elections thread.

Tell me, Mike, do you agree with King's implication that things were better when only male property owners could vote?

Also, do you agree with his further implication that those with no income tax liability should not be allowed to vote?

Finally, do you believe that the unemployed just sit around voting themselves more benefits instead of trying to get a job?

The fact that he says "taxes" without the qualifiers you yourself noted makes it a lie.

I think that those things are pure idiocy, but that has nothing to do with whether the numbers we were discussing were correct or not.

Thank you. Sometimes I wonder if it's me for whom English is a foreign language, or Mike.

Mike, if I say: I don't have any money. But I actually have a million dollars, I just don't have any Euros. Wasn't that a lie then? Is that not how language works for you?

The context of his remarks is that he thinks that the unemployed shouldn't be allowed to vote because they don't have "skin in the game".

Plus housewives, students and the disabled, of course.

Don't worry about it, Mike's off in his own little world for a while. He'll come back eventually.

You don't get to make up how your language works. Context does not matter when the words are that clear.

You don't get to say "Your mother is a whore" and mean that she played one on tv if you don't add the qualifier then and there.
