Something just seems so...empty about this premise.
I mean, he's not going to kill any of the Avengers, and they won't bring Cable back for him to die.
I just don't see the point.

Eh, I don't know if I can get really excited about this. I like cable, but I feel like this is going to be a book for die-hard cable fans. I don't want to see cable beat the crap out of Earth's Mightiest Heroes. Oh well, We'll see how it goes.

man, i really like the dynamics of that cover: Cap w/a gun, Cable with his shield, the angles, the background...
It's sad we don't get more art out of Quesada.

Wow! It's not too often that Quesada does variants, but when he does they're usually pretty darn awesome. This is definitely one of them! It seems to reflect that comment Jeph Loeb made about Cable being the Captain America of the X-men. Now he gets a chance to prove he's better than Captain America! I'm definitely all for this. I'm really looking forward to this event. The events of Messiah War and Second Coming endeared me to Cable in a new way. I look forward to seeing how overcoming his recent bout with death will affect him.
