This is actually proving to be my favorite Atlas book. It's got this interesting mix of "Resurrection Man" meet "Cosmic Opera" that really is enjoyable. I've been surprised by how cool a read it's been. And glad to see they're planning so many issues at the moment. Good to know they're in it for the long haul.
Definitely fixing my need for a Space/Cosmic title since Marvel brought Guardians of the Galaxy and Nova to an end.
Also my favorite Atlas book. Looking forward to Atlas Unified. Tom Peyer is a great choice as writer.
On a sad note ...the last Dark Horse/Gold Key titles came out today....![]()
i love the new Atlas books, i only wish they'd come out more often. i thought Phoenix would be my favorite, but i gotta say Grim Ghost gets me the most excited at the end of each issue wanting to see what happens next.

Yeah, I got to say that Phoenix is my favorite of the Atlas titles. I believe #4 comes out on 10/12/11.
Pull List: Transformers, Green Lantern, Batman Inc, Justice League, East of West and Deathmatch.
Picked up this and the latest issue of Grim Ghost, and really enjoyed both. Grim Ghost had an ending that was a real surprise, and nicely done -- while Phoenix was good fun as always. The art and color palette for Phoenix are really impressing me; they really complement the story so well.
All in all, two really good reads -- enough to make me start thinking that Atlas is now my indy publisher of choice (which had previously been Dynamite).
I'm personally afraid to get into this line due to the fact that every small press publisher I start to enjoy dies and goes under within a year or so, that and the books have been "eh" to me so far. If Atlas manages to hit 10 issues then I will grab some back issues to catch up and see if I choose to stick with them, but the first two issues of each book have failedto nail me down as a fan.
