But I have over 20 posts and I still can't change my avatar. Where is this information listed? I was looked through the FAQ and I couldn't find anything on it.

According to your profile, you should be able to access and edit now.

There is a sticky about this, but it looks like it got accidently moved to another board a day ago.

New member here. Though I can appreciate the need to stop spam, if I may make a suggestion, allow all users to change the settings that determine the appearance of the forums. Options to hide the avatars and signatures of other members, for example, or to display threads from the beginning instead of the default last month. I don't believe access to such features is of any help to potential spammers, and it'd go a ways towards making new members feel more welcome as, despite many of your user privileges remaining locked, you can at least personalize how the boards look to you.

In the interests of full disclosure, the requisite twenty posts to end the trial period is going to be really tough for me to meet, and I'm selfish enough to want to improve my browsing experience, if possible, in the meanwhile. Of course, I know nothing about coding or what's done to maintain forums like this, so I'll understand if my ideas can't be implemented. With a minimum of grumbling, even, lol.
