Yep, as I said - it'll take approximately an hour for the system to work out the changes I've made. If what I've done is correct, then Private Message capabilities should return as per normal.
One thing I have just thought of is that I'm unsure if old private messages will be retained or not. I don't know if the system will remember them or not during the change-over.
To clarify, people with less than 20 posts will not have the following available:
- Private Messages
- Signatures
- Profile Messages
I was hoping to make it so people with less than 20 posts would be unable to post links at all, but apparently that takes extra unofficial software being added to the forums so we'll hold off on that.

I just checked and I was able to send a message (albeit for myself).
So the PM function works again.

VBulletin has started to check the 61,000 accounts registered here and has (at time of this post) managed to move ... 474 of them.

Joe Acro, one of the great Moderator team, reminded me just now that at some point BB Code had been turned off in Private Messages - as some sort of anti-spam measure.
With these new changes, that should no longer be necessary.

Keep up the good work, Matt.
It's funny...I hadn't logged on to CBR for quite a long time yet still got the occasional "PM" from someone I did not know via my email notifications. I knew better than to respond, but was wondering how prevalent a problem it was.
Looks like the new standards will help quite a bit.
I'm glad to be back.
