After 9 quarters of declining sales , Wal-Mart has realized where they fucked up in one aspect. The lay away plan for X-Mas was always considered a cool thing come the holiday season. The store would be packed that final week near December with shoppers picking up goods .
But a few years back Wal-Mart decided to axe the lay away from stores. You could sense they felt they were such a big chain store and sales were high , so what if they axed it ? Its not like K-Mart and others can step up to face them.
Well it did seem to keep K-Mart/Sears (Sears bought K-Mart out in 2005) and Target around. Which really makes you wonder if the Evil Empire of Wal-Mart are ran by fools at times ?
I know that my mom used to go Christmas shopping at Wal-Mart and the times I'd go help her pick things up that week before X-Mas , the store was PAAAACKED . Now just packed shopping , the line to the lay away was long and you'd best get ready to sit and wait an hour .
Even though the lay away plan is kinda strict :
You can only layaway electronics and toys.
Items have to be over $15 bucks.
You have to layaway over $50 dollars.
I do plan to get some games and movies possibly from there. After years of not shopping there.
