There's a Ghostbusters Omnibus collecting all the mini's before the ongoing started.

I wouldn't think so only because you've got what seems to be the standard rule of when you get a license for characters for comics we've found you get the rights to every comic published with them.

Like with IDW doing the NOW Real Ghostbusters in Omnibus format.

No reason to think they couldn't do a trade of the other stuff as well. Heck, when IDW first announced that 100 Page Spectactular book I thought that was going to be the series from 88 MPH.

The boys are ... gone?

Quite liked the new opening. Looks like the thing that took the guys is a combo of Peoplebusters meets Citizen Ghost and I'm okay with that. Those are two of my more favorite concepts from the RGB so I can't wait to see their spin on it, which I think will be completely different. Other random thoughts:

It's nice to have a women in Peter's life that's not Dana for once AND that she can take care of herself;
Nice appropriate way of adding in the Ghost Smasher guy;
Griffin will be fun;
Melnitz/Peck will be a great little banter play;
I'm holding out for some Rookie and hope he's the secretary but probably will be somebody else;
I miss Tristan's backups but the RBGs show some promise!

For being a little bit apprehensive with an all new team, this is off to a good start. I just hope we get the OGs back sooner than later because I still think there is plenty of story left in those guys for this series.

i just wish Kylie Griffin gets a permanent consistent role after the original crew is rescued....it seems like Burnham is content with bringing back Ray Egon Peter and Winston while having no real plans for Kylie Janine Ron And Ortiz once this "Ghostbusters Missing!" storyline is wrapped up

not that there's anything wrong with the old crew it's just at this point in time it seems necessary to throw some new blood onto the team to keep things fresh

I never said anything about what was happening to the New Ghostbusters after this arc... I only said the originals would be back.

For all you know, the New and Original team will be rotating on missions. "Winston is busy, call Kylie!" Even characters who may possibly leave could be back. You never know.

Right now, both.

The main series has a Slimer more like the movies/video game while the current back-up has RGB Slimer and co.

Yeah and to me....i was hoping they would be gone a little longer just so the new team could actually be developed

not only that but it didn't seem like a struggle or a fight to get them back it just kinda happened.....and as for the forces that kidnapped them? never seen again after the first issue

I'm Liking the series but i felt the ending to this issue was a bit lame
