    Default The Sixth Gun

Anybody else reading and enjoying this comic book?

I picked up the trade at a Con, got to meet the artist and writer and was hooked on the book as soon as I read the trade.

I love it. One of my favorite comics right now. Cullen Bunn has signed on with Marvel but I do believe he plans to keep working on this awesome series. Potential movie deal would be great.

Yes! We are continuing with this series until it reaches its conclusion (around 45 - 50 issues). I'm thrilled you like it.

The manager at our local comic shop here is promoting the heck out of Sixth Gun in the shop. (Thankfully as I might have missed it otherwise.) I don't know how many of his customers have it on their list, but I just added it and he had to reorder to fill my request for this month's issue. (Racks were empty, and he said he had ordered in quite a few!) Great book, one of the best out there right now. Didn't know I was a western fan until know. Only other thing I've read in the genre are some of Larry McMurtry's novels. Glad to hear Sixth Gun will be continuing for a while!

That's awesome! I picked it up because of the ad in Skullkickers, and am very happy I did.

Funny thing when I met Cullen he was talking to Jason Aaron in Jason's booth. I had to interupt to get my copy of the trade signed. I felt really bad about it, and honestly Jason Aaron kind of scares me.

But it all worked out. That was at this year's Planet Comicon! What a great show.

bah! i was hoping he could do some more work with DC, i loved his sorcerer kings arc in superman/batman. i usually don't pick up marvel, but if i see an interesting title with cullen's name on it, i might have to give it a shot.

as for the sixth gun, i abso-freaking-lutely love it! i picked up the first trade in the middle of august at a borders liquidation sale, read it that afternoon, and went back that night for volume 2. i even broke my tried and true rule of not buying single issues of a book i started in trades. this is too good of a book not to support.

so issue 14 came out yesterday and it did not disappoint. question though, the stronghold that becky goes to with the sword of abraham, where is that? was there any mention of location? i also really liked gord returning to the plantation, very creepy. my only hope for the next few issues is that we haven't seen the last of asher cobb. just love that character.

cullen and brian, keep up the fantastic work, and i'll keep buying and telling anyone i can about this series!

Thank goodness for the manager at your shop! Where is that?

The book does really well in stores that actually try to tell their customers about it.

Don't ever feel bad about interupting me! I was probably just talking some nonsense anyhow.

    Thanks for supporting the book.

The stronghold of the Sword of Abraham is hidden somewhere in an undisclosed chain of U.S. mountains.

And don't worry... you haven't seen the last of Asher Cobb.

thanks for the info! from the design of it looked like something in europe, but i knew it couldn't be. but knowing the long history of the sword of abraham, i'm sure they have lots of cultural influenences.

Love this book. One of the best on the stands these days. Keep up the great work, and I'll be there each month!

I have to track down the latest issue because I just set up my pull list.

But I can't wait to read it.

Shop is in Fredericton, New Brunswick (Canada) - called Strange Adventures. Jason (manager) is a big fan of your book.

So I looked around to see what this was all about after seeing this thread and couldn't even find a Wiki page?! Luckily Amazon had some info and the trades and you bet I'm planning on picking them up, at some point.
