It just feels like Higgins really has a clear picture on what to do with Deathstroke and I believe that more and more with each interview. I like every idea Higgins throws out there when talking about the character and can't wait to see where the book goes.

Loved the first issue of Deathstroke, even though the part were he wipes out all his ad hoc team-mates was kind of mean spirited.

Hope they at least get creative with the violence, because killing chump kids and no name metas hardly says bad ass to me.

Yeah. It's only cool when he kills well-known heroes like Ryan Choi Atom or Phantom Lady of the Freedom Fighters so that the rabid fanboys can complain about racism and sexism again.

Agreed, when he kills someone well known people moan, when he kills no names people dismiss it as uncool.

I'm curious myself, I was surprised how much I liked the first issue. Looking forward to more!

If Higgins is a good writer he can make Deathstroke "cool" without having to kill some known character. The crap Wallace pulled was just shock tactics.

    Yeah, no.

A good, creative writer can create red shirts that pose a challenge, allowing Deathstroke to overcome them with skill instead of effortless head shots.

Lets see Deathstroke fight a guy with superspeed and invulnerability, throw a few Jihad (from Suicide Squad) members at him, etc.

Deadshot made his rep in Suicide Squad by killing one shot characters. But the writer was still smart enough to have Floyd earn the kills, by way of cunning and skill. That's how Deadshot got a rep as good as Deathstroke, without ever killing a long standing character.

That was actually my favorite part and one of the reasons I liked the book. But, as always, tastes vary.

Anyhow, the book was awesome and I can't wait for #2. Really glad for the second printing.

Will it have a different cover?

That's my only objection about the series, the Bisley covers are AWFUL, it makes it look like the comic is a bad cyberpunk-type nonsense...

The only known character he killed was Choi who's useless,if he was so great then maybe writers should have given him his own identity instead of simply being Atom 2.0,DC has terminated Connor Hawke and Wally West despite both characters having considerable fanbases and many more appearences than Choi.Marvel just killed Bucky Barnes as well,Dick Grayson had his own Nightwing identity which is why he's safe.
