Zub came to uni last year and signed my Skullkickers :D
Nice guy.
That was a great interview, never knew thaty stuff about Zub!
I'm interested in Skullkickers. I don't see it solicited in Nov or Dec past issue #12, but isn't #12 a start of a new arc? Does anyone know if this is a finite series? Ongoing? etc.
What are your opinions on the book? Seemed interesting to me, but I just never got it. But after the CBR interview, it's definitely piqued my interest.
Comics were happier before the Internet turned writing superhero stories into fruitless attempts to impress/entertain a small group of ppl who appear to hate comics and their creators.

Thanks! I'm glad I made a good impression. :)
My nerdy youth knows no end.
I'm a bit biased, but it really is great. ;)
Skullkickers is ongoing. I do have an ending planned and we are working towards it, but I don't have a set issue amount just yet.
Each arc is 5 issues with a short story collection on each 6th issue inbetween arcs, so #12 doesn't start the new arc - it's an entertaining transitional issue.
We're taking a break inbetween the 2nd and 3rd arc to get ahead on material and take care of other freelance projects. Arc 3 will be happening in 2012.
We rocked out 11 issues of a creator-owned comic in 1 year so I hope fans will be happy with that and understand that creator-owned comics can be tough to juggle in this market. A planned break like this doesn't mean we're ending the book prematurely.
Thanks for your interest. I hope you give it a shot. Our first trade is value-priced at $9.99 and the second trade arrives November 16th, so it's a great time to get on board.
Thanks for the info! Always good to hear first-hand information about the structure of a series. I'll definitely be getting vol.1 TPB and see what other single issues are available at my multiple LCSs. It's also more than likely I'll get vol2 when it comes out (since I assume my LCSs won't have an accumulation of the rest of the series).
Good luck to all your comic and life endeavors!

I was already considering picking up the Skullkickers vol 1 TPB but the deal has been sealed now.
Enjoyed the interview and looking forward to reading the book!
Awesome! Feel free to drop us a line via the Skullkickers website and let us know what you think of it.
If any of you are coming to NYCC, Edwin (the line artist on SK) and I will be in Artist Alley at table T6.
Not sure just yet. We don't have any 2012 shows locked down just yet.
We ran ourselves pretty ragged this summer promoting SK. Between shop signings, conventions and conferences I flew to 13 different locations this year. I don't think I'll be able to do that in 2012 and keep my sanity, so we'll have to see which shows work best with our schedule and which ones invite us as guests.
Read vol 1. loved it! Now to just wait 1.5 months for vol 2...and try to find #6...
