I know that Nova will have a story in the upcoming point one one shot but has there been any news as to whether this will be leading into an ongoing and who will be the creative team ?

Saw this last night. I know its only 1 image, but I'm surprised there hasn't more posts about it.

Honestly, I wasn't sure if this was a new image or not. I know sometimes Rich puts of older images in his articles. Like when he broke the news about Bendis and Bagley doing a new Avengers book, he put a previously drawn image of the Avengers by Bags.

um. I adore Nova. I am also tickled pink by his name. Just because his name summons up a plethora of queer connotations doesn't mean one has to subscribe to a false dichotomy that that's a bad thing.

I hope Nova isn't resurrected just in time to get BBQ'ed in the one shot, to show how bad ass the new threat is. That would suck royally...

Nova comes back in April 2012.

News came out of the NYCC.

He's sporting a Denarian helmet and the point one art makes him look younger than Rich.

I really think this is a new, alternate universe/alternate timeline Nova. Might be a teen version of Rich from an alternate universe or might be someone other than Rich.

If they're going to present us with a powered down Nova or go back to the teenaged Nova concept - I really don't want this to be our 616 Universe Rich. I'd prefer a Kyle Rayner treatment so that when it fails we can at least lobby for the return of 616 Universe Rich from his exile in the Cancerverse.

What about those panels suggests "younger?" I'm not seeing it.

And as far as the costume goes, I don't know if it really makes sense to read too much into the "Denarian" helmet at this point. It might be significant, but it might just be a redesign.

Interesting that he refers to "it" as an it. Not a he or a she.

So is not a specific person at least. It's either a thing, or perhaps a group of people (though that might have been a "they" rather than an "it).

I heard a rumor thatJjeph Loeb will be writing a Nova monthly or mniseries.

If so, I won't even bother to pick it up, as much as I love the character. Loeb kills everything he touched anymore.
