As a previous fan, there is nothing in the story that discounts the past from having happened but at the same time, it's not hindered by it for new readers.
Except maybe his marriage, his wifes death, living in the future, his kids, his grandkids, Wally, Linda, their kids, Cobalt Blue, Jay, Jesse, Jphnny Quick, Max Mercury, Boomerang Jr, Trickster, Piper, Magenta.
U know what , I dont care, this is what I signed up for so this book gets the same chance as the rest. It is my favourite character so Im holding them to task more than the other books Good luck guys, and I mean that sincerely.

Sounds good the more I hear about it. Hope it's good.![]()
I agree with / love the sound of absolutely everything they said. We'll know in a day and a half if they delivered!
While I really want to buy a Flash book, this one still sounds so... boring.
Not loving how he puts his new costume on
I think its funny that the only reason he does it like that is becasue Manupal, as an artist, wanted his new design (by Jim Lee) to make sense. He noticed all the lines and wondered why he had them, so he created a way to make the lines work and thus the new transformation was born. Jim Lee and his useless lines/seams crack me up...![]()
My 13 year old son has loved the flash since watching the Justice League cartoon when he was younger. He has read some of my comic books but never asked me to buy him any but every time we walked into our local shop he would flip through The Flash back issues. He complained that he had no clue what was going on but he still loved the Flash and would like to read it someday.
When they announced the DCnU 52, I told him about Flash #1 and his eyes lit up! I remember buying my first comic book at 14 and this week I'll be taking my son to purchase his first book. He has been doing chores all summer and saving money to stash away in a special envelope marked "comic books". As a father and comic book fan it makes me proud to see this initiative by DC work. My son has an opportunity to start fresh with a character he loves, with issue #1.
The only thing he isn't too happy about is when I said I may bring my camera to document the experience lol.
