not only that, but what DECADE would they meet in? I've been day dreaming about this all day thanks to that tweet. I wonder how she'll fit in with all the new characters/creatures being introduced.

I love truly, not knowing what could happen next. The mark of a true writer.

I just want Sean Murphy to come back for some art, or Fabio Moon would do nicely :D

I've wondered what exactly makes an American Vampire. Is it because they are turned in America, or because the blood goes in the eye or whatever other options there are.

I think there are a couple of factors. Location is the main factor, but it can't be the only one because of the difference between Skinner and Mimeteh. My guess is ancestry plays a factor. Percy, a European, turns Skinner. Maybe he turns out different if seeded by another strain. I didn't get the impression that the way they are turned plays a factor, but there haven't been many turnings yet. So it's tough to say.

I haven't enjoyed the art on "The Nocturnes" as much as the previous work by Albuquerque, but the series continues to be ridiculously good. Very entertaining, and scary but fun.

Just have a quick question, the 5 issue mini series coming out, do I need to read starting from issue 1 or can I just jump on board for this mini?

If it's like the last mini then it should be fairly accessible. Still, I strongly recommend starting from the beginning, especially because this mini seems to be a continuation of the last, which picked up on characters introduced in a short arc of the main series.

I would imagine that you will be able to follow it but to get the most out of Lord of The Vampires, I would imagine that you should be up to date on the series.

This is just sort of a what if senario, but with Snyder getting Becky Cloonan to draw Batman 12, who else thinks she would do great in one of American Vampires frequent side story arcs? I do! Make it so, Vertigo!

I'd rather see her do a miniseries. So we could get more then just 2 issues.

Either/or really. That's essentially what I meant, just didn't specify. The only differences is if she did some of the main series, we could potentially see it sooner, haha. But I think the opportunity is there for another mini series, as I believe these are going to be annual summer things, which I awesome.

^The first time I've read about Lord of Nightmares having the Vassals deal against "the most powerful vampire", the first guy that popped in my mind was "him"... so I sorta expected the twist/reveal at the end of LoN #1. Also, I dunno if it's just me but I had the feeling that I already read more than half of this issue just by checking out the previews. LOL. Still, I can't wait for the next issue! I can't wait to see Snyder's take on this "lord of nightmares." I already love the fact that he can affect the nature of people around him at a certain distance.

I loved the fact that half of Dustin's pages seemed to be at least partially water colored. That's something I've wanted to see for a while, him doing a book in water colors.
