    Default 11th Place: Generation X (40 Points)

Generation X is a made-for-TV film which aired on FOX on February 20, 1996. The story features Banshee and Emma Frost as the headmasters of Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. They recruit Jubilee, and introduce her to her fellow students; M, Skin, Mondo, Buff and Refrax. The students are learning to cope with their mutant powers, and come into conflict with the "townies" who mock the students. Emma Frost worked previously with a mad scientist named Russel Tresh who felt that he could extract part of mutant's brains to develop psychic powers, and Russel is back and wants to use Skin's brain in his experiments. There were rumors that the tv movie was potentially going to lead into a TV series, however after less than stellar ratings and reviews that never came true. While the series might have lacked in quality, it was the first live action X-Men series.

    Default 9th Place: X-Men Origins - Wolverine (79 Points)

Just like the comics, spinning out of the X-Men, Wolverine solo! Apparently Fox/Marvel lacked the confidence to just title the movie "Wolverine", so "X-Men Origins" was tagged on it. The movie stars the now world famous Hugh Jackman, reprising his role of Wolverine for a fourth time. The movie came out in the summer of 2009 and made $373,062,864 at box office. The story focuses on Wolverines past include the first time he discovers his mutation, fighting in many wars, to his time in Weapon X. Deadpool, Sabbretooth, Silverfox, and Gambit all played supporting parts in the movie, while a young Cyclops and Emma Frost (but later is not Emma Frost... yeahbuwhat?) make cameos, followed by a walking Xavier (played by Patrick Stewart... more yeahbuwhat?). The movie took a lot of liberites with the characters and the timeline and due to lack quality the movies seems to be disconnected from the film franchise since First Class came out.

Default 7th Place: X-Men - The Last Stand (129 Points)

The 2006 film and third in the X-Men series. Director Brett Ratner took over when Bryan Singer dropped out to direct Superman Returns. The Last Stand revolves around a "mutant cure" that causes serious repercussions among mutants and humans, and on the mysterious resurrection of Jean Grey. The film is loosely based on two X-Men comic book story arcs: writer Chris Claremont's and artist John Byrne's "The Dark Phoenix Saga" and writer Joss Whedon's and artist John Cassaday's "Gifted" arc. The creative team failed to see the flaw in combining the stories and making the Phoenix part of Jean's mutation, while also dealing with a mutant cure. So plan becomes kill friend Jean, and cure evil Magneto. We did however get Beast introduced into the film series. The film had a budgeted of $210 million, the most expensive film at the time of its release. X-Men: The Last Stand received mixed reviews from critics and fans, but grossed approximately $459 million worldwide. The highest grossing of the X-Men films.

If they gave us another season of Wolverine & the Xmen maybe, I'm going to go with the first series with Cable, the Phoenix Saga, and Bishop with a mullet.
It was the last great Saturday cartoon of the 90's.
