    Default Nikita Season 2

Right before we watch Castiel exercise his God powers, we get to see Nikita and Michael team up to take down Division. What of Alex's fate? Will she move higher up into the organization, possibly the new head of Division? and then what of Percy? Will he simply die to make more room, or does he have a cunning contingency plan for that as well? And we get to see more of Roan, Birkhoff, and Amanda doing what they do best. Can't wait

Though I initially found the Nikita show on the so-so side, it did end up growing on me as the season progressed. Really, it's one of the few new shows that managed to keep me watching.

I'm definately looking foreward to the next season.

With Amanda in charge of Division, I don't see Alex in charge. More like someone working for them, but not as a complete part of Division. More like Michael was last season.

And supposedly, Nikita and Alex will be working at cross purposes this season.

Is it just me or is Maggie Q kind of hot?

"Kind of?" Bit of an understatement, there!

I just finished watching Nikita--love this show! Mild spoiler: Birkhoff is working with Nikita and Michael now! Alex and Nikita had a fight which ended with Nikki breaking Alex's arm AND shooting her in the knee! Ouch. I heard of tough love before, but DAMN.

    Can't wait for next episode.

Nice start to the season. Can't see how they can ever bring Alex and Nikita back together now.

Betrayal, Broken Bones and Bullets in the Body have a way of souring a relationship.

Course, you could make similar arguements with Micheal and Nikita and they're on pretty good terms these days.

A bit different I think because Nikita came in as a recruit and in Michael's charge. I guess you could say she was the one who betrayed him by breaking out.

But Alex betrayed Nikita in a way that for me at least precludes a true reunion. She set them up to be captured, tortured, killed.

When Michael was doing that, he was part of Division still. It was his job.

Alex is doing it out of spite and revenge.

I wasn't that taken with this one. It felt pretty flat and inert, at least until Birkhoff showed up. While I'm generally in favor of shows changing up the status quo to keep things interesting, I'm worried that turning Nikita and Michael into a couple could end up detracting from Nikita's character. With Alex she was in charge and decisive, but she seems to be taking too much of a deferential role to Michael. Don't really care for that.

I think the roles are sort of flipped.

It's similar to Micheal and Nikita, or with Alex Nikita was in Micheals position and Alex was in Nikita's. But of course the situations aren't identical.

Alex was planning on betraying them certainly... but I don't think she was actually setting them up to be captured or killed. I assume she just wanted to steal the black box.

I do think the show is sort of moving in the direction where Micheal and Nikita are kind of equals, where before it was clearly Nikita's show.

Whether or not that's a good or bad thing is sort of subjective.

Actually it's completely subjective, as are most things related to entertainment.

I was kind of impressed. This show was my guilty pleasure last year, but this kickoff was actually... well done.

I do think they sort of changed the status quo a bit too quickly for the show.

I guess you sometimes have to move things along fast because you never know when you're going to be cancelled... espeically in your first season. But I honestly think they could have ran with the original status quo (of Nikita and Alex vs Micheal and division) for the entire first season, and Nikita with Micheal vs Percy and Division for an entire season season. They probably didn't need to complete flip the board and change things so dramatically until the second.

Still, it does show guts to change things around so much so quickly. Viewers don't always like change. But this seems to work so far.

I recently caught up with this show, and it is one of the better action dramas I've seen in a long time. Each episode feels like a mini movie and the story is very carefully written.

The best part of the premiere was definitely Nikita brutal disabling of Alex while without showing her malice. The whole scene was a better done version of when Obi Wan defeated Anikan in ROTS.

I'm fine with Nikita working closely with Michael right now because he is working with her as an equal as partner and not upstaging her. Michael is an great character in his own right, so I don't think he has to die or be reduced to a sidekick role. It's kind of like Burn Notice where Fi, Sam, and Jesse all support Micheal, but none of them come off like complete subordinates to him in terms of skill, and leadership.
