In the cellar when Sam had his hallucinations as the room turned red and you see all these hooks and chains , i was expecting pinhead to show up since that was his gimmick with all those hooks and chains.

Great episode, though I was hoping maybe a piece of Lucifer had escaped hell in Sam's mind. Though I have to say I'm a bit disappointed, we've seen the whole meathooks thing, we have seen Sam on fire. I figured being tortured by the devil himself would constitute something a lot more messed up, but maybe Sam for now is only remembering the really low end stuff.

The Leviathans seem like an interesting big bad, though we are going to need a good reason for why Sam and Dean survive their encounter with them.

I thought the new episode was actually pretty strong, finally they gave a sense of power unlike when they had the apocalypse and aside from them reminding you every five minutes it was happening, there was no real sense the world was ending.

Death was awesome, as he always was and I'm looking forward to the new villains.

I wonder how far they are going to take the "this is inside Sam's head" storyline. Obviously it isn't in his head, but I'm wondering if he will ever come to believe it is.

Yeah we get it you hate Eve. Do you have to mention it every 10 minutes? And he didn't do more than Eve, her children were at center of an ep of two major characters dying. An entire episode was about getting the thing that would kill her. God Cas was a one ep villain that got beat by the very power he had. Even the whole binding Death thing to fight him was pointless. Unlike the pheonix ash episode.

The thing about Lucifer: if what he's saying is true (and I doubt it is, he's Lucifer), that would require him tricking Death, and I don't see that happening. Death himself went and got Sam's soul from the cage, I think he'd notice if Lucifer, even a small part of him, was hitching a ride.

I think Sam's memories are so horrific they're simply taking a life of their own, in the form of Lucifer. I just don't think its actually Lucifer per say.

Um, anyway, I agree with the consensus it was a good ep. Crowley is always a hoot. But one thing that could be considered for future eps, if Cas makes it out alive...he basically became a mass murderer. Plus because he went on a killing rampage his face is now known to everyone. Though in the Supernatural universe, it may be possible to somehow unring that bell.

It's not my opinion she literally did more than Cass. The only thing Cass did was kill Raph and that was a last season achievement. He didn't really do anything in this ep other than go around causing havok and fail to get rid of the old ones. But then the old ones would of been in regardless since that night at least two people were lining up to grab the purg souls. He didn't kill any major characters nor did he require a quest to bring down.

All in all it was a big letdown after the hype they had in the finale and the preseason commercials. He was stronger sure, but he did nothing of note with it other than kill a guy that was in himself a leftover from an old plotline.

That reminds me. Did they ever solve that plot involving Sam and Dean being fugitives?

There are two ways that situation with Cas, if he lives, will be resolved. Either God introduce himself and pulls a massive mindwipe or have Cas be in a new body somehow, a shame as I liked Misha Collins as Cas. Another scenario would be Cas making the ultimate sacrifice and kill himself along with Leviathan
