I missed half of its run on Toonami. I definitely felt for Ganta. The last episode I saw featured a girl with like a crazy split personality. I don't remember if she was playing mind games or was really crazy. Can anyone help me out?

If he only saw the first half of the series, he's probably talking about that dude's sister, the one with the whip hair. In her case, the nice personality was a facade and act, not a multiple personality disorder. She is pretty psycho in her own way though, but does some cool things later in the manga. Shiro's condition doesn't really become clear until the last half of the current anime.

That's her! Ok, so it was an act. I remember she was saying some cold things during the fight with Ganta, but when we first meet her she was this sweet girl, I think.

I suppose I'll have to read the manga now.

There is no Season 2. Deadman Wonderland is one of those anime--like Kekkaishi--that ends well short before the manga does.

I recommend it, the anime drops about half the supporting cast. Although I think production has stalled around Chapter 51 or so.

Good news: The authoress has returned from maternity leave and has stated that manga will restart early next year. She also said that this will mark the final arc of the series.
