Looking forward to where Cornell take us with these characters![]()
Ok, so the Midnighter's costume had to be tweaked to avoid looking too much like Batman, I get that... but adding spikes all over it just for kicks? Come on DC, Cornell and Co: they look ridiculous guys - specially the one on his chin, get rid of them ASAP
Other than that, I have to say I enjoyed the first issue and am on board to see where this will lead... hoping later on that Swift or The Doctor are brought back.

hoping for king, winter and swift
Those Burnham covers are friggin' gorgeous.
Hobos frighten me. It's time my enemies shared my dread.
I like the spikes on Midnighter's costume, but I have to say that this book is basically "on notice" as far as I'm concerned. I'll keep reading until the first arc is complete, but after that I can't say.
X-O Manowar. Harbinger. Bloodshot. Archer & Armstrong. Swamp Thing. Dial H. Captain Marvel. Hit-Girl. Saga. Prophet. Read my reviews of these and more at The Comic Book Couple!
You'd think if they're both gay that one of them would have enough fashion sense to say get rid of the spikes. That's like my only problem with the book. Suffice to say I really like this book.

Just a bit of nitpicking, but "Stormwatch" is "The Authority's" predecessor, and "The Authority" is "Stormwatch's" successor. The former DC imprint started by Co-Publisher Jim Lee was best known for boundary-pushing superhero stories like Warren Ellis' original run on "Stormwatch" and its predecessor "The Authority."
Action, Animal Man, Aquaman, Batman + Incorporated + B&R, Dial H, Earth 2, Flash, Frankenstein, GL + GLC, Justice League, Swamp Thing, Wonder Woman
The Boys
I think I was the only one in the world who really dug Stormwatch #1. It was my favorite of week 1, out of 8 books including Action and Animal Man.
The art was alright to me. Some panels looked off and others looked great. Maybe since I'm not familiar with Midnighter's previous costume, I don't mind the new one.
