Default CBR: Getting To Know the Characters & Powers of "X-Men Destiny"

With Activision's latest superhero saga "X-Men: Destiny" due in less than a week, Comic Book Resources breaks down the playable characters, as well as the super powers they - and you - will wield.

I thought you chose your powers along w/ character. Like each character could choose which powerset they had. Closer this game gets to release the less I'm looking forward to it. Had such high hopes for it initially too.

Sorry still don't care if i only can chose between 3 stock characters.

Also didn't they said your powers would be based on those of existing characters? Apperently now they all have stock powers fixed to their characters aswell.

Middle ground medium guy, light range girl, strength using big guy.

Didn't they said something about you chosing from a pool of powers based on different characters?

Though in that case they could have just as well made a game in which one can chose between Rogue and Mimic. At least this way people might be interested in these characters beforehand.

Also the graphics look dated. I could overlook that if it's a sandbox game but apperently it isn't.

Sorry but i rather spend my money on Batman Arkham City and Saints Row 3 (it's basicly a comic game allready) and wait for a better sounding X-men game.

And yes i complain about this game before it even came out. It's my right to voice my oppinion which i have based on the bits of informations they revealed.

The mutant powers are correct but them being set to just one of three characters is not.

You are able to pick one of three mutants and which powerset out of those three. It even show's all of them using various powersets in the videos.

    This game looks absolutely bad.

Dear God how much longer is Activision going to torture us with their crappy production values.

I'd like to see a developer than knows how to develop a real RPG tackle an X-Men video game. We have a whole cast and library of characters with rich back stories the possibilities are endless.

We could have endless X-Men RPGs each designed around classic X-Men story lines. But instead we get this ._.

I do agree that the graphics are not up to par. But I'm not letting it interfere my judgement with the game. It could actually be a really good game. It looks to be a lot of fun.

If the game play is handled very well I don't really mind the graphics.

I would not classify Milo Ventimiglia as the baddie in Gamer. He had a VERY bit part as a human avatar and that was it.

    Hey, Activision!

Here's a hint for your next X-Men game: The entire reason I'd buy an X-Men game is because I want to play as one of the X-Men.

Better luck on your next game.

Just wait for the free Marvel MMO coming out next year. And you'll be in Marvel heaven :P
Actually I find nothing wrong not being able to play as one of them. I've always preferred playing along with them and not as them. Makes me feel more apart of the game.
