Yeah, storywise this was a very important episode. It's really setting the tone for the entire season as you're seeing the storylines being mapped out for practically the entire cast.
Musically it was probably my least favorite episode ever (not a show tunes guy either), and nothing super exciting or funny happened... but moreso than the first episode of the season, I think this really creates the foundation for the season with some very organic and logical storylines the rest of the season can build off of.
And it WAS nice to see Will tell off Quinn. I was frankly surprised he was as up in her face as he was... but honestly it was about time he stopped being Mr. Nice Guy floor matt around people.
And I thought the music was great. I am a musical fan and quite frankly Bernstein and Sondheim beat the shit out of anything Gaga or Pink can do. I thought that was one of the nicest versions of "Someplace" I have heard.
Hopefully Glee has introduced enough people to the great American songbook to keep it alive.
Not this tuesday but next Glee is being preempted by MLB. Boooo.
No words for this episode....But It's getting good but very surreal.

Yeah this was a really good episode. I wish they hadn't brought it back so early just to preempt it for a month for MLB. They should have either started it in the middle of August or waited till after baseball season was over to air it. Still Britany was amazing. Of course Mercedes was better and Rachel even said so to Finn. I liked fix me but there was a lot of people online saying that Will shouldn't have sang it.
I loved the focus on Mike Chang. I'd like to see him in a remake of Saturday Night Fever. His mom was hot. I need to look her up to see who played her. I loved the preview for the next part of the season where they are gonna have Mike O'Mally run against Sue. It's about damn time they gave him something to do.
Ew ew ew. Did Schuester really show Emma his porn stash?
Between this and the morning wood joke in the first episode, I'm gonna be sick.
It was a very well done episode, and it was nice to see Mike Chang get fleshed out a little bit. I was surprised by how well he pulled off the actual acting scenes.
Rachel spiraling out of control is par for course, but at least she's doing in a new way at this point.
Am I the only one who thinks she killed Mercedes in that song though? Her range is so much bigger, and there's way more maturity to Lea Michelle's voice than there is to Amber Riley's (not to take anything from her, she's a fantastic singer). They just needed to do that to move the plot along I guess.
I agree! I thought to myself "can he pull this acting off"? But he blew it out of the water. Rachel's downfall is finally in effect and it's flawless! I think they were both good. Unlike Kurt and Rachel who also did a sing-off and we knew he was going to slip up. It's hard to tell with Mercedes and Rachel. But Brittany,Santana, Quinn, and Tina's performance was freaking EPIC!(I just wish Santana sung it though).
I dunno what to say about Rachel running for president sounded kinda like a selfish thing to do...Heck even Kurt running is more like Rachel. I hope Brittany wins! I just cannot wait to see Mercedes's crew on that rival group though. it's gonna be excellent!

Best part of last night was Brittany's song. I have watched twice since then. One thing I didn't like was Santana be late back in so soon. It would have been better if she wasn't let back at all and she joined the other Glee club first and asked Mercedes to join with her or she wasn't in a club yet and Mercedes comes to her and tells her she should join the new glee.
