I'd like to see a lot of focus on Mike the other Asian this year. His dancing is phenominal. I really enjoy him and Tina together. I hope to see some focus on him this season.

I am kind of sad that Lauren is gone. I hope she still appears during the season some much like Jacob and Becky she has become part of the school back ground so it would be sad to not see her.

I liked Lauren enough in small doses as a supporting character... but I wasn't sure she was a good fit in the actual glee club itself. She's a fun enough character, but as a singer and dancer I don't know... though she did at least hold her own.

Either way, I do wonder if she doesn't need to be put on hold just because there's already somewhat of an overload of "badgirls" on the show, with Santana and Quinn both up the notch to 11.

I loved it! I didn't realize how much I missed the show until I wached the ep. Some of the cast changes were odd, but I'm not sad Sam or Zizes are off the club. I do hope Zizes gets some guest appearances, though.
I really liked seeing Lindsay from Glee Project, her number was awesome, makes me sad she didn't win the competition.

I actually kind of dug Sam. If nothing else, he was musically one of the more versatile male singers.

I wonder if them pairing him with Mercedes had anything to do with him not wanting to return. That sounds harsh but you gotta wonder what made him give up a steady paycheck.

What makes you think it was his idea to leave the show? He was only on it for a season, my bet is producers/execs didn't feel he had enough audience appeal or he wasn't making for good storylines and so they cut him to trim back the budget and make room for more new characters this season. Happens all the time with big ensemble casts.
My favorite character can beat up your favorite character.

I'd be surprised if that were the case.

The season ended with Sam and Mercedes involved in some sort of storyline. Even if they wanted him off the show, you'd think they'd bring him back at least for a little bit to resolve that.

Very likely that the Sam character was overshadowed by Blaine as he was getting more attention and the creators/producers decided to bring him on board full time. Not that they couldn't have keep Sam for a while longer but they probably needed room to introduce all the new characters from their Glee Project and the new members they'll need for next season and someone had to go. There's still plenty of time to bring Sam later in the season.

All the info I have seen says they wanted him back as a reoccuring character but he didn't want that. He felt that he could do better elsewhere.

I've read on TVLine from both Overstreet and the producers of the show that what you described above is indeed the case.

He was offered to continue on as a recurring character, he didn't want to, he preferred to move on if he wasn't going to be a series regular/main cast member. They didn't fire him, his lack of a promotion had him choose to not extend his time there.

Apparently Chord is going to be in The Middle this Wednesday as A high school teacher. Weird career choice.

Glee was a waste tonight. None of those songs were worthy. Brittney's speech about Unicorns at the begining and Kurt saying he asked permision from Rachel before using a Barbara song to audition were the only good things about the episode. Also what happened to not making this season about Kurt and Rachel.

And Rachel telling finn he was too good to work at the auto shop was bull shit. That is a good job and he's probably going to end up owning the place one day.

I actually really enjoyed this episode. The music was for shit, but I'm not a big musical theatre guy anyways. I prefer them doing more modern musical.

That said, I thought there was a lot of little clever moments in this episode. Britt had some great lines, Artie was surprisingly hysterical, and for the first time in a long time, everyone actually feels like they have a real storyline. (Well most folks).

When Puck was doing a dramatic scene, it was almost shocking since it's been so long since he's done anything that resembled a natural plot. And the nice thing is that it all feels organic to the characters. Quinn would have issues over the adoption. Finn would be torn between artistic dreams and blue collar roots. Rachel would have trouble seeing the value of a blue collar lifestyle. Kurt would have trouble landing anything that approaches a traditionally masculine lead. It's good storytelling.

And it was also nice to see Mr. Schuester really standing up for himself this season after the sad sack he was last season. Him telling off Quinn actually had me cheering for him.

When a pony does a good deed, he gets a horn and he becomes a unicorn, and then he poops out cotton candy until he forgets he's magical and his horn falls off. Black unicorns becomes zebras.

So-so....Kurt singing women songs and then tries to revert to male was very very akward I love him but damn, stick to what your good at you shouldn't try to please everyone...

Blaine....Why is he still on here?

Rachel....Still complains about the little things.

Quinn/Puck was the only person who shined through this episode though I hate she returned to glee club, she is still the anti-hero that I can cheer for because she's about to go down a dark road.

Brittany running for class president?! HECK YEAH! She's going to awsome!

Cannot wait for the next episode Mercedes is about to take center stage and ready to de-throne Rachel and more Mike/Tina!!! I hope they can deliver!
