Oh, absolutely. I'm just hoping that Brit doesn't win. In reality, she definitely would.

My senior class president had the last name either Kegg. His campaign slogan was "You can't have a party with out a Kegg"

Indeed they are. I ran for SR president once before, and I got beat by a popular soccer player. It's all about popularity contests. So seeing Rachel and Kurt TRY to get some publicity? They are going to lose BIG time!

Real good episode last night. Don't know why Kurt is so bent out of shape about Rachel wanting to run for class president. After she found that Mercedes was better than her at singing she felt that she needed a little something extra to put on her college application. Would Kurt feel betrayed if they both with for the same spot on a glee song? He should look at it like a friendly competition. it's not as if Rachel is going to pull away any votes from Kurt, the ND group likes Kurt more than Rachel and I doubt that there is much cross-over between the camp Rachel and camp Kurt. Of the three gLeeks (of which ND are the underdogs of the school) running for office Brittany has the best chance of all of them of winning class president. Kurt's speech to Rachel about friendship really should have been directed at Mercedes.

Mercedes is turning out to be the 'diva' that everyone thinks Rachel had become. She got angry at Rachel when the fault is that the coach, Emma and Artie couldn't decide between the two for lead actress. Don't know why she felt they were all on team Rachel when the coach probably barely knows Rachel, Emma always goes for a compromise and Artie is more her friend than he is to Rachel. She should have agreed to the split of the lead but I guess that doesn't make good drama to do the sensible thing.

It does seem a bit of a slap to ND though that she's trying to steal talent from ND for her own group.

Kurts problem with Rachel might be more of a cumulative thing. Brit was initially Kurts biggest supporter in the campaign, but she turned around and ran against him. And Rachel kind of did the same thing. The way things are going, Kurt will be running against Blaine by the end of the next episode.

It might also go back to the first season when Rachel and Kurt were awful to each other because they viewed each other as the biggest competition. He might be afraid of going back to that. Plus, on a pure friendship level, it's kind of a dick move by me to run for something I know my friend has expressed interest in before me.

Also, why I can sympathize a bit with Mercedes in this episode, she still came off as incrediably unlikeable. Then again, she almost always does. The only kind thing I can ever remember her doing is offering her house up to Quinn in the first season.

Mercedes was pretty much a diva... and the fact that Rachel off all people was actually more cool about the competition thing actually made it worse. So I really didn't sympathize with her at all.

To be blunt, Rachel is a better singer (though only by a hair) and dancer (my much more than a hair) than Mercedes... so the fact that they were willing to share the spotlight in that compromise was pretty dam nice. But Mercedes ego just didn't register that I guess.

As far as Kurt and the election goes... at first I did think what Rachel did by running was kind of selfish. But her plan on giving Kurt VP if she wins, and vice versa did seem reasonable. In Rachels mind, there's a 2/3 chance both of them can walk away with something.

Compared to previous seasons, I think Rachel is honestly pretty bearable these days. I don't agree 100% with some of the stuff she's done here, but compared to Mercedes I can at least see where she's coming from.

Brit only ran when Kurt turned her down. So it wasn't really much of a betrayal. Kurt has a bad habit of being very selfish when things don't go his way.

Truthfully both Rachel and Kurt are self-centered people... in the least I DO think they've gotten a bit better. A season ago, they probably would be pulling out each other's hair.

As far as Brit and betrayal... the nice thing about her is that she's so stupid it basically makes it impossible to blame her for anything. In her relationship with Artie for example, she was flat out cheating on him with Santana... and when Artie called her on it, he ended up the badguy. You almost can't be angry when she does something that screws over someone else, because she genuinely is too stupid to see it.

Same thing with Kurt... and Kurt knows it. So I doubt he has any issues with Brit at all. Rachel is a different matter. Plus they're obviously close friends these days.

Can I just say how smoken Brit looked in her Rule The World outfit. And I don't even really like Garters.

True they are both self-centered but the difference with Rachel is that she shows remorse and tries to make amends. Kurt even when he's affronted with his wrongdoing will deny he did anything wrong. His accusation of Rachel's 'backstabbing' seemed especially off considering that earlier Rachel was helping him try to convince the coach, Emma and Artie that he could play a more masculine role in West Side Story.

Does anyone else think they missed a terrific opportunity in season on when the girls were dressing up like gaga for the guys to dress up like Bowie instead of like kiss.

It would have made much more sense.
