    I'd much prefer Meggan/Betsy interaction over Brian/Betsy.
Whenever the latter get together it's weird. The way they're always touching and fawning over each other. I actually like what Remender has done with the two added tension. Everybody generally writes them as so happy together and quickly getting over issues but this isn't one of those times. They're different people from when they were kids and it's more apparent than ever. Man I loved that Otherworld arc.
If he hates her that's great, it's so much better than the "perfect" seemingly hollow relationship that always seems to get portrayed. Hopefully the next time they meet she kicks him in nuts. Then again I'm not a big CB fan either.

Both Brian and Betsy are quite insular people which I suppose is why their relationship was suppose to be warm. Reliable friends in an unreliable world.

Their cool relationship seemed to come from nowhere, which depresses me. Ultimately, Brian forgave Jamie (he hated Jamie, even before he became a slave trader/murderer) and was acting really odd and out of character. If he is angry with Betsy due to X-Force, he would say so. Brian has always had a temper, hence why he broke Kurt's ribs and other such things.

I doubt he hates her. Even Remender showed Brian wanting to say something to her before turning away in anger. I doubt she hates him, she really has few reasons too.

She is free to kick Brian in the nuts, it won't hurt him.

Edit: Something I was meant to say. Is that if you think that their previous relationship feels forced then you must also feel this one feels forced. Neither are particularly natural.

This new relationship is more understandable though. She took over his mind and killed their brother. Even if he does forgive he isn't going to do it right away especially with his temper. I never really payed attention to the Jamie/Brian relationship so I will take your word for it.

Their previous relationship was always just so strange. Like who is that happy to see their sibling all the time? Where's the occasional annoyance, the "she's always trying to do better than me", the playful anger. I'm sorry but if my brother's dimensional counterpart tried to rape me i would NOT be so quick for him to always be all lovey dovey and stroking my face. I've just never felt a tension between them and no matter how much you love your sibling or they're your "reliable friend in an unreliable world" there will be tension.

I mean she has had it for him(as we've seen in times like Acts Of Vengeance" but we've never actually seen it towards each other. This is just a more interesting development for me.

I know I'm a bit late to the conversation, but whoa, Ollie-- if it's fine I call you that--! You seem like a really cool dude; I should really post in the Captain Britain thread more often (though, I don't think I've yet to post there). The Braddock family is my guilty pleasure, and I was always the guy who preferred Excalibur over X-Men. Jean, Scott, Warren, Henry, and Bobby? Pshh! It's all about Kurt, Rachel, Kitty, Meggan, and Brian! And the later additions of course. I'm also in love with Pete Wisdom's character and preferred Kitty with him over Kitty with Piotr-- but now I'm just ranting; I can talk about Excalibur all day.

Anyways, I really agree with the major consensus here-- we need to see more Psylocke and Captain Britain together. I loved the Otherworld arc for this reason (and most of you already know I'm a big fan of Remender), but I do have to agree with Ollie that Brian was taken a bit out-of-character... a bit too extremist, I'd have to say. They have a really strong sibling relationship where they care for one another, because they are the only family they have left, especially since Jamie is out of the picture quite often. I really love the simulated conversation Betsy had with Brian in Uncanny X-Force #6, because while he didn't agree with her, he still stated that he unconditionally loved her. Even if what Brian said is just what Betsy wanted to hear-- I still think this is how they should be. It's just weird to see how far they've come. It used to be, "Betsy! Your hair! It's purple!" to "Betsy, you're a killer!" But I agree that their relationship has a lot more potential.

Just bring Excalibur back. Brian, Meggan, Betsy, Kitty, Wisdom--- IDK, whoever! And their first arc can be reviving Kurt somehow, because I miss Betsy and Kurt interactions. And Kurt and Meggan interactions. And Kurt in general. And want to see Betsy and Meggan interactions. And, and, and...

Also, just for random speculation-- Brian had a Phoenix on a former team of his before! Rachel! You'd think he'd understand how it works. And you'd also think that he'd mention Rachel when the Secret Avengers team went up to halt the Phoenix Force. I know it's not really any one writer's fault, but it's just the obvious things they're missing in AvX.

Not to turn this thread into a Captain Britain thread (I seem to have a habit of doing that nowadays). The Otherworld arc was odd for his character.

He acts pissy about his sister's killing and then allows his squad members to erase someone from existence. Keep in mind that these are the same people who wrongly declared he should be executed several times. He acts cold, he calls his sister 'Elizibeth' (I don't think I have ever seen him do that before) and basically acts like a dick.

The worst part of it, is that he wasn't suppose to be leader of the Captain Britain Corps anymore, that responsibility was given to Albion after 'X-Men: Die by the Sword.'

I am still holding out for that not to have actually been Brian. Instead a mind controlled Albion or Jamie Construct (I have mentioned this before a lot too :/ )

I would love to see Betsy on a team with him for a little bit. Maybe not too long but at least for an arc or two. They don't need to bring back Excalibur to do it, just write him into an X-Book. He is currently an Avenger, so maybe some A + X love.

Enough of Brian though, this is a Psylocke Appreciation Thread.

This is pretty much sum up what I feel about Betsy-Brian past relationship. It's like the loving brother and sister are given. There's no challenge to it.. no annoyance towards one another. Simply put, they haven't interacted that much to develop proper siblings relationship.

Brian-Meggan has tons of development.. But we haven't seen that much between the siblings. Part of it due to Betsy being associated more with the X-Men than with her real family. And the Otherworld arc probably cemented it, where she chose her current 'family' over her blood one.

I'm afraid we won't be seeing the siblings interaction soon. Well.. maybe if Remender's planning a Secret Avengers-Uncanny X-Force crossover/mini.

    I'm excited!

I think the art is lovely. Not much can dissuade me from being interested in a book, art-wise, except anything drawn by Greg Land and Bradshaw. Just not a fan.
