To be honest, he shouldn't have let the line about not seeing himself as a writer slip. They should edit it out of the article, because he otherwise comes off as someone with a great story to tell and the talent to tell it. I was really excited about getting this until I read that line. Now I might wait until I hear a review about it first.

Other than that, this book looks amazing! The pacing and the layouts are beautiful together, and I'm really digging the book's look and characters. I also like the idea of a post-war setting and the mystery involved. I'm really hoping that it's good.
