Given what happened to Klaus in this episode, I don't think there's any question that they'll be sticking around and be a major focus. Clearly Elijah knows something's up, so expect a good part of the beginning of next season to be about him searching for the truth.

Then you have the majority of the season building up to Tyler being revealed as Klaus. You would also have Stefan and Damon plotting revenge against Elijah and Rebekah for what happened to Elena so yeah more originals next season

I doubt they'll make an entire season story arc based on that though. No one left on the show really qualifies as a "big bad" anymore at this point, they're going to have to bring in something to fill the void.

I haven't read the books but weren't there other big bads they've dealt with besides Klaus?

I don't know about the new ones, but in the original four Klaus only appeared in the last book. Before that he only had a couple mentions as part of Katherine's backstory (she claimed to have killed him, but she probably didn't realize he doesn't die easy). He did say that he was an Original, but we never found out much about his origins or if there were any others like him. Before that Damon was more or less the big bad in the first two books, then Katherine took over when they found out she was still alive and had been manipulating events in book three. Of course vampires in the books had more supernatural powers than the ones in the show, and Katherine and Klaus were both a lot more insane.

What kind of supernatural powers did they have exactly?

As I recall Stefan when he's not drinking human blood could only do the things we've seen on the show, but vampires Damon level and up could do animal transformations, weather control and illusions to varying degrees depending on how powerful they were.

I kinda like the two twist tonight seeing as how Klaus likes Caroline and the the meeting between Damon & Elena.

Its kind of funny how much the series has diverged from the books yet will swing back to exactly duplicate the books at times. I haven't read them but those who have are saying that the way Elena became a vampire in tonights episode is pretty close to how it happened in the books.
Price your book at $3.99 and I'll trade wait. Make me wait too long for the trade PAPERback and I'll say screw it. I'm looking at you Marvel and Spider Island.

Wait..did Bonny kill Tyler and put the soul of Klaus in him? That is sure what it seemed like. If so, I kind of want to see Caroline beat the shit out of her now. I'm guessing the magic she used to take down Klaus turned her evil.

I don't see why. The Originals are still just as powerful and just as much of a threat now as they've ever been. Klaus stopped being much of a "Big bad" a good while ago, but they've clearly set things up for him to stick around. There's no inherent reason for them to be replaced (no matter how much I wish there were).

Putting Klaus's spirit into Tyler's body wouldn't kill him. Klaus pulled the same trick himself on Alaric, and Klaus' mother did it with Rebecca and neither of them were harmed.

Ok, but what exactly is she planning to do? If she's having him stay in there permanently it's as good as killing him. Unless she's planning to heal the original body of Klaus. Or she might be planning to put Klaus into another body. Hopefully there will be a good reason as to why she did it.

Honestly, Bonnie's kinda a bitch, and always has been. She's never had any problem putting her own wants or moral judgments ahead of everyone else's, and she's never particularly liked Tyler. If it came down to keeping her mother alive versus Tyler, its not even a choice for her.
My favorite character can beat up your favorite character.

I have no idea what she's planning, I was just pointing out that putting Klaus into Tyler's body doesn't amount to killing him. Until that body dies, Tyler is still alive. Presumably there's a step 2 to her plan, we just need to wait and see.

That's a bit overly simplistic. If, in fact, Klaus really was the father of their bloodline, what she did saved everyone's lives, including Tyler's. If she hadn't done it, then all of them--Stefan, Damon, Caroline, Tyler, and Abby--would have been dust when Alaric staked Klaus.
