Default The Vampire Diaries -- Season Three

Well the new season begins tonight. Last season we left off with Klaus becoming a vamp/werewolf hybrid. Stefan joins with Klaus in order to save Damon from a werewolf bite and is now full on evil(he kills a girl). Meanwhile Jeremy is now seeing dead people thanks to being brought back to life via magic.

With Smallville gone this is one of the only shows I've been looking forward to this fall(that and Supernatural) on the CW. I'm wondering if the Klaus storyline will continue throughout the 3rd season or if it will be wrapped up in the first 3-4 episodes.

Let me say again I just hope that Elena doesn't hook up with Damon. I'm also curious about Jeremy, he is seeing dead people..are we going to see Jenna again? What about his parents? I'd be interested to hear what his father has to say about this whole vampire business.

Side note: apparently some new show about witches is premiering tonight on the CW as well. It is in no small part thanks to Vampire Diaries that I am even giving that show a shot. Since while the show seems terrible, I thought the same thing about VD before I watched it.

VD's season premiere kind of snuck up on me. But I am glad it is back, and the timing works nicely since True Blood just had it's season finale. So we don't have to go a few months without new vampire tales on TV. That, and Elena is hot.

I hope Jenna comes back. I still say they dropped the ball with her last season because I was interested in the possibility that maybe with Jenna being a vampire she could be easy to corrupt with her being new and all. Would have liked the story idea on Klaus corrupting both Stefan and Jenna, with Stefan playing the protector role of the newly turned Jenna who would be coming to grips with her vampirism. I understand that they dont want to risk Jenna being another Caroline but I just feel they wasted what could have been a interesting plot

Just watched this...geez, Stefan! Damon's supposed to be the evil one! I know he's doing what he's doing to protect Elena, but come on! I am also glad that Caroline and Tyler FINALLY hooked up (YES--I swear, they need to allow partial nudity on this show)

UGH--why are the writers so effin' obsessed with shooting and torturing Caroline? She's one of my favorite characters, and sitting through the "Let's Torture Caroline Show" last season sucked so hard. I hope they don't start that crap up again this year.

Every TV show needs to show full nudity as far as I'm concerned.

Only the shows with hot people! No-one needs to see Dr. House or Peter's dad on Fringe naked.

Anyone notice the Stefan/Damon relationship is starting to mirror the 1st season when they met? Even when Stefan says "Hello brother" to Damon, sounded like the exact same thing Damon said to him in the 1st season when they first meet again. Plus Stefan is killing some of Damon's friends..just like Damon did to him.

You know I always wondered why Stefan couldn't handle a lot of human blood, I mean Damon didn't change his diet and he turned sort of good. Now we see..Stefan goes batshit insane and tears people to pieces and then creepily puts them back together like some sort of puzzle.

I missed the first few minutes. Can someone tell me what happen prior to Damon getting out of the bath tub?

We see Klaus talking to two women, friends/relatives of the werewolf they torture later on(that's how they found him). Then he tells Stefan "kill one this quick, make it last for the other" and then yeah..Damon finds the results of it later.

I enjoyed last night's season premiere! I have so many mixed emotions at the moment! It's a good thing though. Ok, here we go. Stefan...wow he has gone off the deep end and I used to think I knew what "ripper" meant. After seeing that girl's head fall off just let me know I had no clue. It was even more creepy once you realize he put the body parts back together.

Sucks what happened to Damon's girl. He just started to care about people again and he lost 2 girls in such a short time-span. Now there's no one else to keep his mind off Elena...

LEAVE CAROLINE ALONE!! She's my favorite character on the show and I hate it when she's everyone's punching bag. I'm glad that she and Tyler hooked up, but at the same time I still miss her and Matt together.

Glad to see Vicki and Anna still hanging around. They were both faves of mine and I hated to see them die. Now if only we can get some Lexi...

The end was touching (although predictable) when Elena just knew it was Stefan on the phone with him looking like he was on the verge of breaking down after hearing her heartfelt words.

    Good start, IMO!
Apparently the sky is falling now that Emma AND Betsy are omegas! This is great!

I have to say that finally with this episode I see Klaus as really interesting villain. Before I thought he was kind of blah, but for some reason this ep sealed the deal with me. I also liked how they finally flipped Damon is the good one and Stefan the bad one. It should be interesting from here on out.

I find it interesting that they made Klaus flawd yet still threatening. This recent episode showed a rather vulnerable side to him

Really like the final scene between Damon and Elana. It shows that despite his apparent good guy leanings, he's still a selfish bastard at heart.
