The only thing I know about shade is that he is a flash villain, what are we going to be expecting from this?
Shade is a sophisticated, immortal anti-villain who has been alive since the late Victorian era. He's had ties to Opal City, home of Starman, since the 1930s. He's rabidly protective of it, as well. The series will most likely take a look at the Shade over the decades.
This book is so hard to resist. The art line-up is absolutely fantastic, and I love The Shade, but I haven't finished Starman yet, so I'll wait for the trade. Plus it'll be great having all that fantastic art in one volume.
Pull List: Action Comics, Green Lantern, GLC, GL: New Guardians, Justice League, The Flash, Batman Inc, Batman, Nightwing, Batman & Robin, Dial H, Animal Man, Frankenstien, Earth-2
Great cover, great artists lineup...
... still skeptical about Robinson after suffering through his JLA. Has he lost his touch?
I'm hoping it's not so much that he lost his touch, but that JLA was not the right book for him. Wishful thinking...

The Blackest Night Starman issue was pretty good, so I think Robinson can pull it off. JLA didn't really suit him, and we don't really know how much editorial interference there was there.
One word:
"JUSTICE!"
Robinson really hit the jackpot with his artist line-up.
I like Robinson, I really do. But barring a handful of hits among a lot of misses these last couple years, the Blackest Night: Starman, featuring The Shade issue was the best thing he's written in ages. So I trust that's because that niche of the DCU and that character just resonate when he uses them.
I'll read it, because it sounds like some of the better ideas for new characters he came up with in the Mon-El storyline fit far better in a "Shade" book than elsewhere.

I recently finished Starman after pulling the trigge in all six omnibuses blindly. I'm excited for this series.
Progress isn't made by early risers. It's made by lazy men trying to find easier ways to do something. - Robert Heinlen
I'm so excited for this... I love the Shade. He is a great anti-hero.
Robinson made this character something so cool.
You know what? I actually didn't know that- I've only read the first three Omnibi. That's a nice detail.
