The latest
electoral map poll from RealClearPolitics.com shows that Obama has a prospective 253 electoral votes right now, to Mitt Romney's 170.
115 electoral votes remain listed as toss ups, meaning, Obama needs 17 of those 115 to win. Either Florida, or Ohio (two states which currently show a slight lead for the president) alone would push him over the top.
For Mitt Romney to win the election, he would need to get 100 of the 115 electoral votes from those toss-up states, and would need to win at least 6 of the remaining 9 states to even have a chance. He currently only has leads in Missouri and Arizona. That would make the final electoral count 347-191. Barring a major windfall, Barack Obama the Democrats look to be hanging on to the White House.
