Romney's latest gaffe might further the latest Santorum surge (snicker).

Romney strategist compares his candidate's ability to change positions to an Etch-a-Sketch.

The U.S. has cut off funding for UNESCO because its started giving aid to Palestine. It's part of a 20 year old U.S. law, but the Obama administration really could have raised more of a fuss over this rather than sweeping it under the rug.

Romney 1.0 was an independent who distanced himself from Reagan; Romney 2.0 was a moderate Republican with self-described "progressive" views on social issues and health care; Romney 3.0 was a social conservative who cared deeply about the culture war; and Romney 4.0 is a far-right businessman who represents the GOP establishment and the top 1%.

What will Romney 5.0 look like? I don't know; I guess we'll have to wait until after Fehrnstrom & Co. shake the Etch A Sketch and hit the reset button.

Again, politicians lie and stretch the truth to a point, but Romney takes things to a whole new level it's amazing. it's also predictable that the majority of the media will not call him on it.

I'm watching this now. Rachel Maddow is taking apart nearly every lie Mitt "Full Of Shit" Romney has told since he began running for the nomination.

As you can probably imagine, it's quite a long segment. Because this guy lies a lot. Like a lot a lot.

Santorum suggests Obama preferable to 'Etch-A-Sketch' Romney

Rick Santorum's latest attempt to use a Mitt Romney aide's "Etch-A-Sketch" remark against the Republican front-runner instead gave his rival a chance to fire back on Thursday, after Santorum seemed to say he'd rather see President Obama reelected than send Romney to the White House.

Speaking at an event in Texas, Santorum again made the case that Romney spokesman Eric Fehrnstrom's comments Wednesday on CNN about a "reset" of the campaign if Romney clinched the nomination showed the former Massachusetts governor's efforts to appeal to conservatives were insincere.

"You win by giving people the opportunity to see a different vision for our country, not someone who's just going to be a little different than the person in there," Santorum told a crowd in San Antonio, according to NBC News. "If you're going to be a little different, we might as well stay with what we have instead of taking a risk with what may be the Etch-A-Sketch candidate of the future."

Santorum has burned his chances of having anything to do with the convention. There are lines you don't cross even in a heated political campaign and this was one of them.

Oh and Rick you do know "Mr. Etch a Sketch" can start flooding states with ads with your own words "I don't care about the unemployement situation, it doesn't matter to me". The media may have given you a complete free pass on it and decided not to play it up, but that doesn't mean Romney can't. Romney's team has major faults, but the company that makes their ads is the best that money can buy and Romney can take out 40 million dollars at a whim and scortch the Earth with your campaign if he wants to.

Santorum's comment about Obama beign preferble to Romney makes me wonder if he's considerign a third party run.

Now that would be a disaster for the Republican Party.

Maddow's knocked it out the damned park the past two days. She deserves an Emmy for her show.

Yeah, I hear ya. I know she prefers the ladies, though, so I'd just wingman and introduce her to my bisexual lady friends as a way to say thank you.

I don't think Santorum has the money to pull that off, at this point.

I had an Etch a Sketch as a kid in the early 80s, but we are talking about something that was invented in 1960 and was already starting to go out of style when I was young.

Anyway Romney accused of flip flopping again.

Mitt Romney Flip Flops on Y'all

Mitt Romney has been accused of many flip-flops, but none may be so important for voters below the Mason-Dixon line as his use of the South's favorite contraction.

According to a tweet from NBC's Garrett Haake, Romney called the crowd (sorry, "folks"), "Y'all," then took it back. He meant to say "you all," he told the crowd.

"I'm not trying to pretend like I'm from Louisiana," he said, according to Haake.

Many voters in Louisiana interviewed before voting today really really don't like Romney, but connect with Santorum.

"This is what we stand for – good old conservative values," he said, as his father in law ran after a bat-wielding grandson and mothers and fathers in camping chairs cheered their sons and daughters at t-ball practice. "This is what we’re talking about. If we returned to family values, this economic situation would be stronger."

Nash plans to vote for Rick Santorum later today, even though he knows Santorum has little chance of winning the nomination. But he says it’s still important for him to vote his conscience.

His brother, Brian Nash, sat in a camping chair next to him as his sons and cousins ran aimlessly around the field, gloves in hand, and one child swung repeatedly at the ball, never quite connecting.

He’s a Santorum supporter, too, he said, shifting his feet in the long, damp grass dotted with clover.

"I hope Santorum has a chance. He’s an honest man, rather than a slimy businessman," he said. "Romney is too liberal in his politics."

"He’s a socialist," his brother butted in.

Jared Barber, 20, who was wearing a straw hat and tending to the baseball fields, said he’d write in Jesus before he voted for Mitt Romney in the general election.

"Christian values are my thing," Barber said. "Romney’s a Mormon. That’s a drawback."

If Jesus was running for President today, he'd be getting smeared as a socialist and a liberal too.
