I think this demonstrates that despite the seemingly eternal campaign, big past mistakes don't just fade away.
Remember, Gingrich had those mass campaign staff resignations in June. Supposedly, they had a problem with Gingrich not spending enough time to build a campaign. Gingrich went off on a lengthy cruise vacation just before the resignations. He also seemed to be following the Sarah Palin model of using a national campaign as a stepping stone to personal profit (books, TV, etc.). Now, he's suffering from not building up the grassroots/retail politics level of his campaign, because they didn't get enough signatures.
Rick Perry might be paying for past mistakes as well. He's an intellectual lightweight. So his campaign tried to avoid the fray by having him enter late. On one hand, Perry would've gotten his ass kicked in even more debates if he'd entered earlier. On the other hand, it's harder to build a campaign with less time.
And it's pretty bad that both Gingrich and Santorum may both live in Virginia.
Gingrich's campaign demonstrates its incompetence again by promoting a write-in campaign, when write-ins are prohibited in the Virginia primary.

Unfortunately, Wolverine escaped to the U.S. with the X-Men. Soon after this stunning debacle, Trudeau's Liberal Party would go down to defeat in the May 1979 election.
Are any democrats planning on running against Obama? i'm sure some people want Hilary to run again, but i just can't see that happening after all the shit the media and the public put her through the last time.

watching and listening to all these paultards and paul apologists twisting themselves into knots to explain away his newsletters and direct mail is really chafing my ass cheeks (savour the image).
a special f.u. goes out to those so-called progressives and leftards, specifically of the pundit ass clown class, that are trying to provide cover for him while they deliberately ignore his record on things these progs claim to believe in.

Yeah, the blind love that the Paul Acolytes have is a little scary.
Look, just admit the guy has some very racist attitudes, and has tried to put forth a bill several times to re-criminalize homosexual acts.
It's okay, we understand you like his isolationist stance, and his cave man ideas about the gold standard.
And his 'states rights' position (which, of course, has a stigma attached to it going back to the Civil War and the Southern States right to own other human beings).
Just don't pretend the racist newsletters didn't come out with his name on them. Or that he didn't vote against the bill to honor Martin Luther King, Jr...TWICE.

If anyone major did it would split the party and really offend some minorities that would see it as a attack on the first non white president.
I really wish Obama would have waited 4 years to run. This term was going to be a mess regardless of who was in office and Obama was almost guaranteed two terms.
Two bad the party bosses couldn't have cut a deal with Obama for Hilary to get 2008 if she agreed to run only 1 term. We need more than 8 years of Centralist Democratic economics to fix this mess, caused by 20 years of Republican economics.
I'm not liberal, liberals have beliefs. I'm a democrat, the only belief I have is that republicans are wrong.

But would he have won?
He won in 2008 as the guy who would end the misery and embarrassment of the Bush era and save the country from Sarah Palin being one irregular heartbeat away from the presidency.
He will win this time as the incumbent who oversaw the killing of Bin Laden and more Al Qaida leaders than Republicans could ever dream of eliminating end putting 2.5 million young people more on health care.
How would you have gotten a black man elected in 2012 America following a President Clinton struggling with this messy economy and the clandestinely anti-American GOP?
My blog.
We struggled against apartheid in South Africa, supported by people the world over, because black people were being blamed and made to suffer for something we could do nothing about; our very skins. It is the same with sexual orientation. It is a given.

I think he would win higher percentage as a Senator or the VP then as the current incumbent. Obama was a candidate many voted for in 2008, now he is the lesser of two evils. I really believe he could have maintain that and his "Hope and Change" message even tweeked to not offend Hilary.
2008 was more anti republican/bush than for anyone is the nations eye before Obama got hot. Hilary, Gore, Kerry and many others would have won that election hands down.
Add in the Republican competition in 2012 and the "first black president" candidate Obama would win hands down in 2012.
