Great action comics cover! The Justice League cover isn't that great though. I don't like Aquaman's pose.
I am not understanding the chains and the bling on Aquaman. But I am most definitely enjoying Bruce and Hal getting their butts kicked by every member they are trying to recruit... :)
FIRST: oh man Jim lee draws a bad freaking ass aquaman
still not as good as Ivan reis who is doing the aquaman book but close
i do wish ivan drew those sideburns on him like lee does
I'm getting a sort of adventurer feel on Aquaman, like the bling is stuff he's found adventuring around the ocean. Sort of like a submarine Conan.
That robot is rocking. Wonder what it is? An early form of Metallo? Or an early robot by Luthor, made out of what just happened to be lying around? The eyes look like Kryptonite.
Robot's badass, and I'm loving Aquaman's chops! Jim Lee doesn't disappoint.
I hope Rag's interiors are as clean and consistent as that cover.
Pull List: Earth 2 - Worlds' Finest - Justice League - Teen Titans - Red Hood & The Outlaws - Ravagers - Superboy - Aquaman
So, by issue four of Justice League, they'll still be recruiting folks? Oh gods, so much decompression.
That Action Comics cover is just rad though, I've gotten so into that outfit, I kind of wish that was Clark's new duds. He's a hero of the people.
Aquaman looks good and majestic, but a little overdone. For my taste he could definitely do without spikes on his gauntlets and those ridiculous, 90s muttonchops. The coloring is bright and pretty, though.
Two comments:
1) It looks like Hal is going to stay getting chumped.
2) Why is Aquaman even looking at the readers? It's just weird and leaves him open to a counterattack.
Aquaman knows how to accessorize.
ew. jim lee is past his prime. to be fair, though, i was never a HUGE fan to begin with anyway...
