CBR: Marvel Teases Avengers Event in December

Marvel has released an exceptionally cryptic Avengers-themed teaser image promoting a project to debut in December, with no creative teams or characters revealed.

We can't get a decent story from most Marvel books today because most of the books are forced to tie-in with an "Event".

I think I'll just drop New Avengers and Avengers and spend more money on DC.

I'm doubting that it's going to be one of the mega-events. They're probably just advertising for their next big Avengers storyline.

Sounds like this is the event that Bendis was teasing with Bryan Hitch a few months back. I think it's supposed to be a big Ultron story!

That's what I thought of as well, what with the crosshairs in that arrangement (and part of a circle, no less).

Considering crosshairs are usually on right angles, this most definitely has something to do with the X-Men/Avengers crossover previously mentioned.

Could be, but based on comments from Bendis I didn't think we would see that till maybe next summer. Then again, Hitch has been working on it forever, so most of it could be done. Maybe they decided to release it a little early to combat DC's relaunch?
