Just had to note that Grant Morrison is Scottish, Not British.
Wow ... this line has me pumped:
Issue #1 was outstanding.Without giving too much away, by the time I'm done writing my arc on the book, whenever that will be, Maxine will probably be one of the most important characters in the DC Universe.
I'm in the middle of reading Morrison's run right now (book 3 is in the mail right now) and love it too. Can't wait to follow this one in the months ahead.
I can't wait for this. #1 is waiting for me to pick up on Saturday. Right now it is my most anticipated DC #1.
Can we do something with the colours though? The art is ok, but the colours are too flat. It actually took away from the story.
Lemire and Foreman completely crushed #1, best book of the relaunch so far. I thought Swamp Thing was excellent too and am extremely excited to see what these guys have planned. I hope they both (Lemire and Snyder) stay on their respective books for a very, very long time. Foreman and Paquette too, although I understand that artists need breaks to catch up and whatnot.
I really loved the whole experience of Animal Man. The colors, the art, the writing. It was all just a tapestry of amaze-balls.

Saw this in the LCS and decided to give it a shot. While Travel Foreman's art is not necessarily what I like, it does work perfectly for the story. In an odd way it adds to the creepiness of it, so in fact maybe I do like his art... in this context.
Will definitely get onboard for the ride, at least for a few issues, to see where this goes. Good luck to the creative team.
