Could you narrow it down a bit?
For example can you list ALL the bands, singers, and composers you have heard of?

Until them, here listen to this:

I like all sorts of music, except maybe for heavy metal, glam rock etc. I tend to like more electronic, jazz, indie, peculiar, alternative, drum 'n' bass, trip hop and such. Some favourites would then be:

    Daft Punk
    Kraak & Smaak
    Groove Armada
    Jamiroquai
    Selah Sue
    Ben Howard
    Lykke Li
    Nightmares On Wax
    Moloko
    Go Back To The Zoo
    Rolling Stones
    John Mayer
    Massive Attack
    Lemon Jelly
    Mint Royale
    Thievery Corporation
    Kruder & Dorfmeister
    Mo' Horizons
    Smoke City
    Parov Stelar
    Zara McFarlane
    Tosca

    and lots more.

LOTS of different stuff, but the core of my musical tastes consists of 1950s rock 'n roll and 1960s British Invasion rock, both of which predate me.

I don't know it sounds very patchwork which maybe on purpose but the two pieces don't fit together completely.

I like stuff across all genres except rap which I pretty much despise. The last few years I've been enjoying female fronted symphonic metal groups, electronica, and the alternative. Some say music hasn't gotten bad, I think its only gotten better so long as you stay away from most top 40.
Price your book at $3.99 and I'll trade wait. Make me wait too long for the trade PAPERback and I'll say screw it. I'm looking at you Marvel and Spider Island.

    I'm into:

    - Industrial (and all its sub-genres: i.e., EBM, Power Noise, Hellektro, Dark Wave, etc). Bands like: Skinny Puppy (old school, not the newer crap), Suicide Commando, Hocico, Nitzer Ebb, Shnarph, Agonoize, VNV Nation, Xotox, etc).

    - Hardcore and Oi!. Bands like: Youth Of Today, The 4 Skins, Warzone, Judge, The Oppressed, Agnostic Front, Insted, Sick Of It All, etc).

    - New Wave. Bands like: Depeche Mode, The Smiths, New Order, etc.

    - 1980's & 90's Rap. Bands like: Public Enemy, BDP, NWA, Eric B. & Rakim, Geto Boys, A Tribe Called Quest, Brand Nubian, Black Sheep, Wu-Tang Clan, Cypress Hill, etc.

I'm sure that's what they went for... the only way they fit together is that they are both songs from the distant past, given modern facelift.
Sometimes those things work, while in your case it tipped the boat... That's OK.
How about this one? I'm sure they are better match...

The list of what I dislike is shorter than wheat I like.

    Dislike:

    Autotuned pop music
    Rap
    Hip Hop
    Opera

    Most everthing else I like.

Yeah man that was just crazy at first i got a serious madness/specials vibe and then it turned into more of a Elvis thing.

I listen to a lot of Soul music, Funk and Hip-Hop and R&B, mostly by male artists to identify with the point of view. I feel no need to branch out and explore because there's enough going on in that realm.
