Those characters are heroes but they're not really superheroes. Plus they've appeared in Vertigo books before. If Demon Knights & The Phantom Stranger were published under Vertigo there wouldn't be a fear of those titles being cancelled since Vertigo has a history of publishing mystical & mature characters. Those books could be a blend of action & horror.

This whole stupid "creator owned" policy just hinders Vertigo from publishing potentially good series.
Well, this is interesting because Vertigo kinda evolved form Karen Berger's New Direction Line which was DC series that were slightly more "mature" or edgy like Animal Man, Swamp Thing, Doom Patrol etc. These characters were all owned by DC. Later Vertigo added creator owned titles. However, either way the comics are still being published by DC. The logo isn't what keeps a comic from being cancelled.

Having said that, I've heard that a lot of Vertigo comics lose money in single issues, but tend to make it back when the trades come out.

Thinking about it though, I could see a kinda post-modern meta thing called something like "The Many Of Donna Troy" where it would be a commentary on different aspects of pop culture and some would be comics-centric, but some would not. So the stories could be like...

Donna Troy as Wonder Tot meeting Little Nemo In Sumberland.

80's Donna Troy has a rivalry with Andy Warhol and Robert Mapplethorpe.

Adult Donna Troy vs 90's Image comics

Teen Donna Troy vs 70's porno chic/Disco

    Donna Troy meets Kirby

I dunno just crazy stuff that touches on different trends of different decades

Sounds great in fact I hope Donna Troy goes to Vertigo instead of that horror story of the new 52. It is becoming the train wreck everyone knew it would be

    a. Morrison's run was published by DC, the trades publishing it as Vertigo are filthy liars.

ABH-1979: Really? I don't think so. I actually liked Holmes...

Maybe Donna Troy should join Justice League, JLA and JL Dark and DC comics would be DT comics. Future printings should probably edit her into Sandman, maybe Unwritten too.

Here's my reasons why Donna needs to go to Vertigo:
1)Gaiman made Fury interesting in the Kindly Ones imagine what he could write for Donna Troy

2)DC is going to destroy the Titans one way or another so let's save her & get DC really peeved

3)DC doesn't have plans for her

4)I would love to see some character driven stories about her & the so called convoluted origins brought out to the fans as the drama that is her life.
The truth of the world is that it is chaotic. The truth is more frightening, nobody is in control. The world is rudderless.
