I'm not positive that this is the correct place for this, so mods can feel free to move it to wherever it belongs.
This thread is to encourage everyone here at CBR to buy the digital charity anthology Fables for Japan which is being released on September 10th. In response to the March earthquake in Japan, a group of artists, writers, comic creators, and poets from around the world came together to help in a way only they could: by creating art.
The book is a digital download and features 24 stories and poems plus dozens of illustrations. Every penny goes straight to Japan for disaster relief.
The book features some names that comic fans might recognize, such as Mark Badger (Martian Manhunter, Planetary Brigade), Federico Dallocchio (Star Wars: Knight Errant, Justice League of America), Phillip Hester (Green Arrow, Firebreather), Ryan Kelly (Lucifer, DMZ), Jason Minor (Books of Magic, Deadpool), Stuart Moore (Namor, Wolverine Noir), Tom Peyer (Hourman, New Gods) and Teddy Kristiansen (Sandman, House of Secrets) as well as many others.
I am honored to have a few of my own stories included in the book. I'd love to hear what the CBR community thinks, and it's all for a great cause.
Fables for Japan is released digitally on September 10th. It is 120 pages for $4.95 with all proceeds going toward disaster relief.
