Dreamworks/Pixar Megaman flick? could it happen?

I don't know why but I think it'd be pretty boss to see Megaman done like this? Could it happen? How would it go down? If you got to write it, how would you do it? who would you cast?

Didn't Dreamworks do the Astro Boy movie not all the long ago? They have very similar stories, but you might be able to draw more people in on the name of Mega Man alone. Though if the studio was banking on that, you'd be more likely to see the new version of MegaMan and not the one from the 80s I'm saying is similar to Astro Boy.

This would actually be a really cool idea. I loved the Megaman games, and there are a lot of awesome villains from that series.

would we go game wise, or mix mash?

I'd push for a Zero ascension film, get a robot love interest, some good battle scenes against 2 mavericks, your average kidnapping, maybe throw in one or two Rock cameo flashbacks pulled right from some of the games, final battle against 3 mavericks with the main antagonist escaping, set up for second film and introduce getting Rock back and turn it into a war buddy flick with some tension between the two and love interest girl X.

It would look really good in 3D. Then I'd poll and see if I could take off a third film and return with the buddy angle, try a new series with Rock alone, or return with Zero.

I think I could get away with pg... maybe pg-13 if we want to really get into the bodily decapitations and a few depictions of hardcore robot on robot violence. I know how hardcore the ratings board can be with every little nit pick. Oh god, it shoots real lasers and that city full of people just died, omg... pg-13!

Mega Man was the first game I ever beat. I was around ten or so and it was a tiger hand held version (remember those?)

I also loved the old cartoon series with Role, Rush, Mega, Proto, Guts and Cuts and badguy of the week who's power mega would end up stealing. Those are my only real exposers to the game series. I did have a few good Megaman toys both from that series and the new series of toys with the computer chip.

Yeah I'd like to see it done but I'd want it done well. With Levels and boss fights and weird bases.
