I'm thinking of getting it when it's printed in a few weeks along with Batman Beyond.

    Thoughts & Rambles on Carnage!

Roman Polanski’s latest film is an loose (keyword: loose) adaptation of Yasmina Reza’s God of Carnage play. Set in a single apartment with 4 actors, no music, no special effects and just being pure cynical black humor for the duration of 79 minutes what does it offer for the audience? Laughter, tons of laughter and a heck of a good time!

The movie stars Jodie Foster & John C. Really as Penelope & Michael Longstreet, while Christopher Waltz & Kate Winslet star as Alex & Nancy Cowan. Two couples, two parents and thus a setting of 4 people confronting each other because of their children’s behavior sets off an awkward beginning. It’s so spot on filmography how uncomfortable the situation is for everyone and how the Cowen family just wishes to leave, but due to “social norms” the Longstreets offer a cup of coffee and the awkwardness just continues until it hits straight to hell. This is pure carnage in every level.

To give a quick summary about these characters: Penelope Longstreet is the “we must think ourselves higher and become more greater and generous human beings”, Michael Longstreet is your standard cool relax chill no-arguing father, Alex Cowan is the brutal lawyer who doesn’t really give a fuck about anything with his loving wife Nancy being the woman who acts nice but is just a nasty Diva herself. These 4 people put into same room arguing, is pure golden comedy. I loved the hell out of this film and me and my friend got into a really good audience that was just bursting with laughter. It was a really great way to spend a Friday evening.

That’s all there is to say about the film at its core. It demonstrates how great actors with a good vision director who knows how to pace, cut and tell a story can turn into such a wonderfully memorable experience , and as a big fan of Christopher Waltz I just loved how much charisma he oozed. All the actors give wonderful emotional expressions thru their faces, but its Waltz and C. Reilly who steal the show, they we’re just the most bastards relaxed horrible human beings out there.

I just can’t stop thinking how much of a good time I had, the way the whole movie ends is just a good cruel joke to these people.

I'll probably end up doing both, and I don't mind it's a project I enjoy so I'll support it however. It's a pretty fun story so far, it had a great action scene in the last chapter.

    RAGE!!!

Just got Maya installed on my laptop. Works like a charm except for the fact that my graphics card does not support the High resolution renders I need to preview my models. Which basically means I can never really know if my Model tursn out like crap. I'll never finish my pony now...

Until I can sort out the problems here, yep. Now I can still model and do pretty much everything, the issue is that I can't render anything of any quality. So I could in theory do most of modeling here. I just won't be able to render off any stills or videos that aren't crap.

Ah, well at least you can do some of it at home. That'll help some.

In other news they're doing a Star Trek/ Doctor Who crossover comic!

Gonna see if anyone can give me any advice on how to make things better without having to upgrade.

Yeah, I heard about that. Sounds like a pretty groovy mutation.

Hopefully that works out for you man.

It's a crossover that I've wanted to see forever...it almost happened for real. There was a tentative plan to have Doctor Who cross over with Enterprise but then tthat got canceled before Who got off the ground.

Yeah, I really do want to be able to do a significant amount of work home at some point. Even if it's just for side projects that are just for shits and gigs.

Well it's clearly going to make both fanbases go crazy. In both good and bad ways.

I hope it's as awesome as I've imagined.

It sounds pretty nifty. Not much of a fan of either franchise but I can see why a lot of folk are excited.

It's going to make for a fun spring, the DC Earth 2 titles look interesting as well. I liked the Power Girl book before Flash Point so I may look into her new series.

I thought her new costume looked cool but it's drawing a lot of negative reactions.

Honestly I thought Earth Two and World's Finest sounded awful when I first heard of them but with the new covers... let's just say my interest has been raised. If it means more Dick Grayson as Batman I'm sure as heck buying Earth Two.

Yeah, I wasn't really sold on them. I figured I'd wait for reviews to come in first but I really liked the covers. I don't really like the Huntress but Helena Wayne as Robin looked really cool, and I liked the super P symbol for Power Girl.

Dick as Batman again seems fun too. Should be interesting.
