Default Wrestler of the Month: August 2011

Welcome to the TV/Film board's Wrestler of the Month poll.

Each month you'll get your chance to pick the wrestlers who you think entertained, competed, or did the best during the month.

People can list up to 10 picks (you can list only one if you want). But you must at least rank them from 1 to 10 since I will be giving points depending on how the picks are ranked. You can either choose a single wrestler for a pick or a tag team as a pick. You can also break up tag teams into individual picks.

There is no real criteria for why you pick who you pick. It can be whoever you did best that month, whoever you enjoyed the most that month, or however you decide who makes your favorites at that time. The pick can be from any company, federation or country. As long as the person did something that month in the industry. Just listing your all time favorite who didn't do anything that month is not in the spirit of the game.

This month's poll is for wrestlers who were active during the month of August 2011. This poll is closed.

It's not a complaint as I have only voted in one of these things myself.

But I have to say that Bully Ray is somewhat underrated based on this.

Well, look at how many people vote, and then check how many of those people actually watch TNA.

Oh I know. I just figured I'd mention him since I think he's done a surprisingly good job in his recent solo role.

Yeah it seems interest in voting has waned.

Which is weird since the last two had around a dozen or so responses. I'm not sure how to garner more votes. Maybe a change in how people vote?

Private message voting perhaps? This way maybe a lurker or two who like things most others here don't might be encouraged?

Honestly though, I think getting many people interested enough longterm to vote consistently is an uphill battle given the recent and current products put out by the WWE and TNA.

I'm not sure what PM voting would cover. I guess some people might be scared that their choices would be ridiculed by others. But we've not really had instances of that happening.

That may be true. June and July had decent turn outs mostly due to Punk causing such a stir and MITB.
