Loved the Kirbyverse back in the Topps day, and loving Dynamite's stuff even more.
Can't get enough. Hope Dynamite is really successful with this.
Sterling seems to be a good fit for this. Looking forward to more Victory and expanding on the legend.
Captain Victory was the comic that first got me hooked on comics
I picked up a few issues at a gas station in the middle of the Australian Outback when I was 10, my mother was trying to keep me quiet on a 6hr drive
Lest did she know the monster she spawned :)
Sounds good. I'm particularly happy to see Gates is keeping the Black Mass storyline. As a spiritual successor to New Gods, I loved the Black Mass/Darkseid links in the original Captian Victory series.
I'm glad to see they're keeping the New Gods (implied) ties as well. This sounds good -- and that art looks sweet.
This is meant to be an ongoing isn't it?
I've been looking forward to this book since it was announced last month, so I'll be picking this up along with the new Silver Star series and the rest of the Kirby: Genesis books that see release. I've been a massive fan of Genesis so far and even though I've had NO experience with these characters from their previous print I feel like I've known them forever, it's great that they're finally getting their due thanks to Dynamite and their awesome publishing.
Like I've said before, I'm treating these characters as if they're brand new and have no prior histories before Genesis, it's helping me to really get into this series and enjoy the universe as a brand new universe. It's great being there from the beginning and I wish it all the success and luck in the world, I'm hoping it's around for a good long time to come.
