Ultimatum Appriciation Thread

Ultimatum was probably the best thing for the line. Ultimate Marvel had been modernizing 616 stories and it was getting really bad for most of the readers by the end. Ultimatum allowed the universe to be unique by having a ton of major characters not be alive and have them never come back. Ultimatum made it so that the Ultimate Universe could never be anything like 616 and gave new life into the line.

I enjoyed ultimatum. What I dont understand is why some parts of the world were shown as being devestated also. But it was never followed up on.

The ultimate spider-man tie-in was the only think i enjoyed from ultimatum. Seeing a 15 year old hero who knows that the end of the world is near, fighting til the death to die a hero, jest seeing spidey in a arc like that truly defined peter parker's herosim. The aftemath for the mutants was most likey the best thing what ultimatum brought as a result. Seeing mutants being hunted down now in the UU is one of the very best things happing now here and it only could have happened because ultimatum was told. If nick spencer's ultimate comics x-men is great, then i thank jeph loeb because UCX would not have happened either if not for ultimatum as well.

I thoroughly enjoyed the USM arc that tied into Ultimatum and I think it was a magnificent way for Bendis to end the series. Spiderwoman made a return and everything felt chaotic like the entire world was going end. It was also one hell of a treat to see the Hulk. Bendis wrote him extremely well and his interaction with Peter will always be one of my favourite moments in comics.

Ultimatum itself was pretty devastating and that's why I quite enjoyed it. The Ultimate Universe was destroyed and dozens of great characters were wasted away. This had a huge impact on fans and for that I applaud the event. I was angry, upset and deeply disappointed and I'm glad that it had a strong emotional effect on me. I doubt I'll ever feel the same way about a comicbook again.

Cuz no one gave a shit about Wakanda in the first place. I loved those interviews where Loeb was like "The world is so different now, WAKANDA'S GONE!"

I would like to thank most of you for being respectful and adult about this thread, I know that Ultimatum could have been a lot better but it served it purpose I changing the Ultimate universe into, what I believe, it needed to be.

I appreciate this image and post in relation to Ultimatum.

As for the mini itself....bobble head Quicksilver at the end made me chuckle. I appreciate that it gave me an insight into Jeph Loeb's story telling ability because now I know to avoid things written by him. I appreciate that it makes me enjoy everything that preceded it even more than I used to because it wasted so many of my favorite characters.
