For the record, I think Dark Horse does an awesome job. There's nothing wrong with the occasional hiccough.

Here's a preview of Dark Horse Presents #7 with the first two pages of Hellboy versus the Aztec Mummy.
Oh, that is SWEEEEET! Nothing does it for me like sequential Mignola Hellboy work. Nothing.
And those Duncan sketches are fantastic! If there was only one other artist to take duties on HB, it's got to be Duncan.
"Okay, I know I said I wasn't going to shake things up, but we're going to have to get some pants on this one."
I really love the second panel on the first page with the wrestler in the suit, declaring "It's all true". There's nothing quite like silliness played straight.
I never buy the DHPs but i'm very tempted now, might just wait for the trade for the hellboy in mexicos (there's gonna be a trade right?)
Chillingly good stuff besides Mignola, Slint, M, Knut and really big chunks of tinfoil?Been called a 'good egg'. Been told to rock, been told to steady myself. Been told to (please) be goin' places.
Half sunk in the mud, with one eye showing / a cracked smile and hair still growing /
your hands miles apart, as if they'd never met / you were the happiest I'd seen you yet. ~ (full) lyrics to 'Exhume' by Bedhead.
And Mr. Duncan's art on The Fury's aftermath has me wondering or seeing things to be pondered about any prospect of the final trade's epilogue or epilogues.
Like on Kate and Alice and their prospects on coping. Liz too, but I can't really tell where she'd be in the moment and it seems to me she might be too tangled up in stuff for knowing what'd have been going on - or down.
Whereas Kate might have been knowing or suspecting more than we'd know, which wouldn't mean she wouldn't be feeling it.
But for Alice I'm most inclined to think she'll be having thoughts. Targeted at Queen Mabh in her persona of the hero-widowed barkeepster I'd think - because Alice did what was asked: she brought the sword and she went along, without asking too many questions. And Mabh seemed to confide in her, eventhough Alice's part seems now all played out all of a sudden.
If I were Alice I'd be sad and shook, but also 'not amused' in the slightest. I'd likely be sitting in bars (pubs) behind those godaweful dull pints of unchilled bitters a lot, waiting to catch Mabh in some broodily deranged moment, or either waiting around for becoming one of those resenting old crones seeing lepperchauns where there shouldn't be any.
In short: I'm guessing there'll be sóme epilogue bits to come potentially, all moody and brooding and heartfelt. Or at least I'm hoping!
Maybe with both a lot of Duncan art both as Mr Mike's? Since mr Mike would be needing all the 'warming up' he could get? It's all in the hoping for me.

That was a fantastic panel.
I mean, I love Mike's talking heads panels to begin with but I loved the way that really showcased the Luchador's personality.
Also, I don't know if there are any other fans of masked wrestling, but the Blue Fury's mask looked pretty similar to the famous wrestler Blue Demon. I think it has to be a direct homage as even the date in the panel closely matches up with when the Blue Demon retired(1988).

DHP #7 will contain a Mignola drawn Hellboy story, a color Usagi Yojimbo story, and a new Age of Reptiles!
How much awesome can fit into a single comic?

I finally managed to purchase a few of the new DHP issues - only #4 as yet - and I gotta say I'm shocked.
The quality is flippant.
Sweet prestigey format. Covers niftily akin to the legendary Cheval Noir line.
Plus a range of pants-busting stories.
Darrow is alive. Chaykin is alive. Lovely Beasts of Burden.
Steve Parkhouse is a must. Criminal Macabre is wicked.
And Darrow. Is. Alive!
Can't wait to be seeing Mignola amid it also. DHP is ruling.

I did just add DHP to my pull from issue 7 and i didnt even know Mignola drawn HB would be in it.
I added because of the Lobster story in issue 9. Plus i can try creators i dont know well, their series.
Pull List:
The Walking Dead,Fatale,Near Death,Storm Dogs,Happy,BPRD,XO-Manowar
American Vampire,Animal Man,Swamp Thing
Daredevil, Winter Soldier,Indestructible Hulk
Yeah i have gone mourning my lack of HB/BPRD reads in recent years to overdosing on all the new trades, special issues in the last month.
Dark Horse Presents is very clever by DH, i have seen alot of talks about it. There is Mignola story, new Brian C Wood series, Francavilla series coming.
