The Hellboy/Beasts of Burden issue will almost certainly be collected in the next Beasts collection since it's part of the main storyline of that series.

Hellboy versus Cookie Monster, stumbling upon some happy faced cookie-dough-mannikin, who goes all out existential Roger-style, in wanting to meet his maker, being none other than Swedish Chef, although the melancholical piece of bakery - with CM on his trail - ends up at the strange and secret laboratory of the bald eyeless professor with an army of cheeky monkeys in constraints plus that redhaired MEEMEE-guy...
And Hellboy is to set things straight. Like a Mignola Henson tribute, with David Petersen on art duties, expected to appear on rosters within the months to come...?
I'd buy the muppets out of that .

EDIT: oh and somewhere around mid-book appears a Russian forest-wandering old granny cloaked version of Miss Piggy collecting eyeballs (she only needs one more), in order to be restoring her one true love being the late Kermitsky the frog) uttering coarse and rugged talk like as being some underappreciated diva despite her actual powers. And maybe a delicate wigged frog girl appears for starting a song but she gets eaten by a cursed boar from up some tree - like one of them pigs-in-space fellers. To the amusement of faded Dagda and deceased Sir Edward, the elderly theatre-upper-balcony old dudes looking on from another dimension. That all would just so work.

Been called a 'good egg'. Been told to rock, been told to steady myself. Been told to (please) be goin' places.
Chillingly good stuff besides Mignola, Slint, M, Knut and really big chunks of tinfoil?
Half sunk in the mud, with one eye showing / a cracked smile and hair still growing /
your hands miles apart, as if they'd never met / you were the happiest I'd seen you yet

I think we get a Eric Powell robot-suicide-in-space story in the next DHP.

Statler and Waldorf would go perfectly with Dagda and Sir Edward. Stick them in cloaks and in a tree...maybe with pipes.

That or as part of the Baba Yaga's bunch of bozos.

    HUH.

I never realised before just how much those two pro-Hellboy and con-Hellboy camps mirror each other....with the Baba Yaga and Dagda occupying central positions and death and Sir Edward on the other side.
Kinda like a chess board of supernatural charcaters.

^And in GDT's Hellboy we have Hellboy's Angel of Death occupying the same role on a very literal game board!

Concerning the crossovers featuring Hellboy, those appear to fall into two categories: any stand-alone yet Hellboy-related (both as creator-related)crossovers could end up into special Hellboy tpb's, as has been the case with Hellboy/Batman/Starman and Hellboy/Ghost becoming Hellboy: Masks & Monsters.
But the appearances of Hellboy into other titles, like in the Goon or Madman or Beasts Of Burden - those might not be considered predominantly Hellboy or Mignola-related books sort of?
As might be the case with Hellboy/Ash, Hellboy/Savage Dragon Hellboy/Painkiller Jane and such as well. As if they'd be to just work best as left to being their own thing, like how Hellboy/Savage Dragon or Hellboy/Ghost got reprinted as being tpb's on their own?
Does anyone know anything about the Hellboy/Ash crossover?

What was Mignola's contribution to the most recent DH Presents? I saw him listed in the artist section, did he do a pin up or something?

I think that must've been a mistake because he wasn't listed on the actual comic and there wasn't any of his art in there.

Wouldn't be the first time the Dark Horse site got something wrong.

Yeah, BPRD Russia #4 was listed as coming out in December 0001 BC at one point. These things happen.

Ha, no way! That has to be the best error ever.

I didn't mean to unduly slag the Dark horse page earlier either, as the DC and Marvel on site solicitations are just as bad at times.
