Hmm.. Queen Mab's crown on the cover there..
Do you think Alice is taking up her mantle? Or maybe she'll just be a presence in the story. Can't just be coincidence, though.
where are the guys that would be mourning? oh yeah, most of them are dead or in state of transformation...

D'oh! I'll delete the other thread now... ;)
"Okay, I know I said I wasn't going to shake things up, but we're going to have to get some pants on this one."
I really like that cover. I wonder if these new Lobster Johnson stories will actually introduce us to elements of The Lobster as a person. Previously we've always witnessed him as an outsider looking in. We really don't know what his deal is at all.
And now, a preview:
Not sure if this is an actual page from the story or not. At this point it may have even been fan art before Joe Querio got the job, but it gives some idea what the story may look like.
UPDATE:
Yeah, it's fan art.

The latest DHP (issue #4) is amazing. I wrote a bit about it in the Independents board, but I wanted to mention it here because this issue is occult detective heavy with Beasts of Burden and Criminal Macabre (both of which are connected to Hellboy through crossovers). They rock.
PS- Finder and Age of Reptiles are two other awesome stories in the book, but there's no HB connection so I won't mention them here.

hey guys
I bet this question has been answers 101 times but here we go. Do you guys know how all these stories in DHP will be collected? Will they just be put into trades for their respective series once they build up enough stories etc? Hellboy has always done that kind of things in their trades but for titles like CM and Beasts of Burden I wasn't so sure. Thanks in advance :)
Reading this week: The Unwritten: On to Genesis, Hellblazer: Scab, Mountaingirl collection
Well, by looking at how things got done before, it seems to me there might be Dark Horse Presents tpb's - due to how sweet or rich anthologies make such glorious products by themselves, both as having any Hellboy stories among such getting collected into Hellboy tpb's as well, so the dedicated Hellboy booklines can be to reflect the whole oeuvre.
Concerning the crossovers featuring Hellboy, those appear to fall into two categories: any stand-alone yet Hellboy-related (both as creator-related)crossovers could end up into special Hellboy tpb's, as has been the case with Hellboy/Batman/Starman and Hellboy/Ghost becoming Hellboy: Masks & Monsters.
But the appearances of Hellboy into other titles, like in the Goon or Madman or Beasts Of Burden - those might not be considered predominantly Hellboy or Mignola-related books sort of?
As might be the case with Hellboy/Ash, Hellboy/Savage Dragon Hellboy/Painkiller Jane and such as well. As if they'd be to just work best as left to being their own thing, like how Hellboy/Savage Dragon or Hellboy/Ghost got reprinted as being tpb's on their own?
Chillingly good stuff besides Mignola, Slint, M, Knut and really big chunks of tinfoil?Been called a 'good egg'. Been told to rock, been told to steady myself. Been told to (please) be goin' places.

Crossovers like the Beasts of Burden/Hellboy one won't be collected in the main Hellboy trades because they're not in continuity, but that doesn't mean it won't be collected in a Hellboy or Beast of Burden trade some day. As you probably already know, the Batman/Starman/Hellboy and Ghost/Hellboy crossovers have been collected in an out of continuity trade, Hellboy: Masks and Monsters. The rights with some of these crossovers are a little difficult, which is why some still haven't been collected, but since both Beasts of Burden and Hellboy are from Dark Horse, I don't imagine it'll be too long before it finds a trade to live in.
As for the Dark Horse Presents stories, they will be collected. All in-continuity stories always are. Hellboy fans are never left wanting in that regard. We're treated very well indeed.
And "CM"... I'm sorry, I don't know what that acronym stands for.
