Default Kiss Kiss Bang Bang & Route 666

I just heard the news that Kiss Kiss Bang Bang & Route 666 are the new Crossgen minis that Marvel is going to put out. Pretty exciting that two of Tony's original creations are being brought back. Being DC exclusive makes Tony ineligible to write, but at least his creations live on. I hope they pursue KKBB in the original spirit because I loved the hell out of that series! And I don't normally like spy stuff. Here's to hoping that Negation is picked next! It may be my favorite series of all time. In the top 5 for sure.

I hope they leave Route 666 alone like they did with Ruse. I love the original premise the series had.
In search of Claire...or Libby Hoeler :D

Heh. No, the series by Tony Bedard for Crossgen that lasted for 5 issues. The opening premise was kind of What if 007 was a dick? I actually saw that movie thinking it was based on the comic, but it was not. It was a pretty good movie though.

And here are some links to an interview with Peter Milligan about KKBB:

Doesn't sound like he's keeping much of Tony's original premise except for the 'legacy hero' aspect. Oh well. I guess I'll probably just reread Tony's run.

Now while the Route 666 relaunch also deviates some from the original, it still sounds interesting (unlike the new KKBB).

I'm still pissed about how Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and Route 666 ended. Through no fault of Tony's both series ended on a cliffhangers with one issue to go. Had Crossgen lasted one more month, both series would be must haves for any comic book fan.
