I haven't read Spider-man in a long time, but are they going to have atleast one page where Peter shows up in Jonah's office and says "Look I have Spider-powers now!"? It's so obvious and you have to do it which is probably why they won't. It's too good. He just shows up and Jonah could be outraged or slightly amused. How do you not do something like that?
I'm an old Spider-fan though.
I am really excited for the next chapter of Spider-Island and More excited about the Deadly Hands of Kung-Fu Tie-In. Probably the only tie-in im stoked for

The Venom tie-in fit in very well. I can't wait to see Flash get more involved!

I think back to the Captain America comic where Steve Rogers turned in some comic book art samples, and the editor told him it's obvious he had no working knowledge of real combat situations.
So basically, I think Peter would likely get upstaged by his friends with spider-powers.
It's the Parker Luck!
"I came to the conclusion that the optimist thought everything good except the pessimist, and the pessimist thought everything bad, except himself." -- G.K. Chesterton
I think that might undercut the message of the story, in that it's about what sets Peter apart from others who share his abilities. If the story implies that other people are better at being Spidey than Spidey himself, I think it would have the effect of making the protagonist look ineffective.
