Default CBR: Snyder Dredges Up A Human "Swamp Thing"

From the murkier corners of DC's New 52, Scott Snyder digs into the history of Alec Holland and describes how the horrifying and the human will play into his "Swamp Thing" series with EXCLUSIVE art from Yanick Paquette.

awesome art by Yannick Paquette, maybe a little too sober, but definitely in the spirit of a SWAMP THING title..But can't wait to read Snyder' stories..

My god, that creature is really, really freaking creepy.

All those flies makes me think if it isn't Arcane is something connected to Arcane.

Also, very intruiged by "The scariest flipbook of all time"

If nothing else he certainly knows the history of the character, and the art

is freakin' sweet. Was getting this anyway, but I feel a little better about it now. It might work.

This title is one of my most anticipated comics of the entire revamp.

I wasn't planning on getting this, but it's had to pass on art of that quality.

My sentiments exactly. I was on the fence about this. Love Swamp Thing but he hasn't been written well in a while, but Snyder's Detective Comics run has been so acclaimed and this art looks incredible. I'm 100% sold on this comic. This and Animal Man are the only books out of the New 52 that I know I will follow at least to the end of their first arcs.
X-O Manowar. Harbinger. Bloodshot. Archer & Armstrong. Swamp Thing. Dial H. Captain Marvel. Hit-Girl. Saga. Prophet. Read my reviews of these and more at The Comic Book Couple!

man, oh man. That is some nice looking artwork.

I like the concept of an Anti-Green, a force of decay and bones and deserts.Kinda surprised something like this wasn't done before. there was the Grey, but that's not quite the same.

On a side note, but the bone creature makes me think of this poster for a performance of Tom Waits' The Black Rider. And making me think of Waits is always a good thing.

It took me a while to get that, but when I did, I chuckled. Kudos.

This looks amazing - the art is fantastic. I was warming up to this title but now It's a must.

That said, I'm still waiting on that DC Comics plant-based (or themed) character get together/event. (Somebody needs to knock the dust off of Black Orchid, Floronic Man etc.)

Good grief Paquette is such an artistic stud. He’s breaking up the panels with bones and tree branches, brilliant.
