No. It would be totally unnecessary if they did. Most of Marvels characters are already easily to pick and get into. A reboot would be a waste for this company.

Depends on what books aren't doing so well.

I enjoy a bunch of X-Books currently (Wolverine, Generation Hope, Uncanny X-Men/X-Force) but I think a relaunch would have done the books pretty well after First Class so that there's a good entry point. Plus they could streamline their books better.

With that said, my first thought about a relaunch would still be met with resistance, as I have so much invested in the characters. However, if done right (more on that later) I would most likely welcome the change.

So long-time Marvel readers/collectors, would you be interested in a Marvel relaunch?
I'd only be interested in a Marvel relaunch if Storm and the Black Panther were married from the very beginning.

Forward with Storm and Black Panther

    No.

Marvel doesn't have the same need for a reboot as DC does, and there are numerous reasons for this, most of which have already been laid bare in a previous thread, no need to repeat them needlessly.

And you do realize that Marvel has something called the Ultimate Universe, right? That can be rebooted and reformatted, which I do believe it has. TWICE.

If marvel feels that it must catch up to DC, it need only to focus more on Ultimate, and shrink its regular comic-book line. Problem solved.

I always thought history was why you picked a company.

For the x-verse. I would love one. That franchise needs to reworked from the ground up. Other that, no. Marvel has tendency to throw the baby with the bathwater nearly everytime a new book comes out.Marvel has very few series that you have an great deal of previous knowledge of the character to enjoy.

I wouldn't mind a retweaking. Not a return to zero (which, let's be frank, not even DC ever did), but I'd like to see some debatable (to be nice) decisions made by Marvel retconned, and maybe a return to a more positive and heroic MU. I'd like to see a tighter and more cohesive MU without so much redundancy. I'd like to see Wolverine going back to be simply Logan, with a misterious past, and with not so many clones and derivatives. I'd like to see the Hulk go back to being the strongest there is, and the only one too. Cyclops back to being a great team leader and not the tyranical ruler of a whole species. One single Avengers unit, that are truly Earth's mightiest, and noblest, defenders. A Spider-man who didn't make a deal with the devil to be rid of his hot super-model wife just so he could save his decrepit aunt. And other things. Not betting it would happen though, and if it did, if it would go this way.

    Peace

There are new relaunches all the time, but Marvel doesn't do it all at once. That's just stupid. Nothing stands out that way, as DC will soon find out

I'd be excited for it Modernizations always seem lame. And there are always the one decision they make that meeses up your petsonal conceptualization of the characters (exp ultimate FF being teenagers)

    Arrow Simply put - no!

Not at all, OP. One of the cool things I love about Marvel characters is their accessibility, OP's gripes not withstanding.

I've been reading Marvel's comics since I was a kid in the early 80's and never once have I felt like I didn't know who the characters were. Marvel's characters are world famous and most writers and fans should know what these classic characters are generally about, Bendis not withstanding.
