The remaining six characters yet-to-be announced but already revealed aren't rumored according to Seth -- unless he's lying, those six are a for sure thing.
This article is so right! It's not a new coat of paint. It's a crooked picture hung on the same old wall. They've already stated this should have been DLC, but it was all pushed back due to the tsunami. Call it what it is. Anyone that didn't see this happening hasn't purchased a fighting game from Capcom before. I may just wait until the Penultimate Edition when they finally include Mega Man.
I know I’m beating a dead horse here, but...
MvsC2.
They didn’t update that for 11 years, until the release of the 3rd one.
Since I don’t play or follow the Street Fighters, I guess you’re half correct. But then, this isn’t street fighter. The precedence with their Marvel games isn’t to come out with new versions within months of release.
yeah but capcom now does it with a lot of there games. The problem is and will remain that why will i want 2 disc in my house and 1 just for getting dust.
Just give it all
I should have waited for this.
At least, I sold my MvC3 for about $20 so that cancels out a bit of the difference.
CBR don't let them lie to you!!! That game is full of lies...SMH.

This.
And yeah, I don't expect this to be the final update of this game packaged as if it was something new. I wouldn't really mind, because it's what fans have come to expect from Capcom, but I do have to say I'm not crazy about the spin involved in trying to make this look like it isn't what it clearly is. That is really offputting.

Psh, I'm waitin for:
Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom: Special Edition
Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom: Arcade Edition
Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom: Collectors Edition
Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom X Tekken
Tekken X Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom
Tekken X Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom: SE

I personally cannot wait.
As soon as I heard about UMvC3, I traded in my MvC3 immediately. Got $30 dollars back so I only have to fork out another $10 for the rest. It works out good.
Tekken X Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom: ACDC
Tekken X Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom vs Spy vs Spy
Tekken X Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom vs Kramer vs Kramer
Tekken X Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom vs Godzilla
Tekken X Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom vs Spy vs Spy vs Kramer vs Kramer vs Godzilla
My favorite is Storm

The new characters are not "rumored", they've all been confirmed, multiple times for the past month, by the game developers. Do your research.
The "character banter/interactions" pre-and-post match are also NOT new features. Those were in the original MVC3. DO YOUR RESEARCH.
"Possibly the most tank-like of the bunch, "Resident Evil" experiment-gone-wrong Nemesis is the lumbering equivalent of a tank, complete with a powerful bazooka." --- This is one of the worst written sentences I have ever read. "He's like a tank because he's like a tank." Thank you for that amazing, in depth explanation. Bravo. Please re-read and then have someone else read your articles before publishing them. This is something a 7th grader would write.
"After spending an hour getting acquainted with the game..." --- Seriously, CBR. If you're going to pay people to write articles, can you at least find people who know what they're writing about? It's painfully obvious that Mr. Marshall isn't a fan of the game, or even played the previous versions beyond what was required to write the article. A little more effort would have been nice, or if he had at least, I don't know, played the game longer than 1 hour before trying to sell us on the new one. Or at least don't just blatantly tell the readers you half-assed the assignment.
This is not an indictment of the new game; from all indications and other, better written previews, it looks like they've put a lot of effort and time into improving the game. Fans who complain about the short window between releases should ask themselves: Would you prefer a $40 update a few months in, fixing the things you don't like about the game now, or would you prefer that Capcom leave the problems in for 3 years, add some new backgrounds, then fix everything and call it MVC4? I'll take the $40 update, thank you.
